The FBM KLCI (-1.1%) retreated alongside with the weakness across regional peers following the escalating trade tension between U.S. and China after the latter after announced plans to impose a national security law on Hong Kong. Market breadth turned negative as losers thumped the winners on a ratio of 800-to-289 stocks. The transportation & logistics sector (+1.4%) outperformed the negative broader market lifted by MMC Corporation (+4.5 sen), Pos Malaysia (+2.0 sen) and Malaysia Airport Holdings (+1.0 sen).
