FBM KLCI: 1,570.10 pts (+27.08pts, +1.76%)
The FBM KLCI (+1.76%) gained momentum on the final day of reporting season as final-hour rallies pushed the key index into the positive territory. Market breadth turned positive as the advancers trounced the decliners by 535-to-395 stocks. The broader market was largely positive, led by financial services sector (+1.86%) supported by strong buying interest in PBBANK (+14.0 sen), MAYBANK (+12.0 sen), and CIMB (+10.0 sen). The construction sector (-0.64%), however, succumbed to selling interest amid elevated building material costs.
