Tonight being 12th Sept 2013 Calvin Tan has been here for 8 long years
In these 8 years I have learned alot from All SIFUs as well as watched with awe & horror so many more fell by the way side & no longer with us as they have stopped posting or commenting
Did they make enough & left? Or were they disillusioned with the crazy market? Or have they lost everything and now live in silence nursing losses & moratality wounded?
Only they know each & everyone one himself/herself

Some say PE of 50 or 60 is fine but other see PE of 3 or 4 as bad. Some say growth is there so even PE of 100 is a buy other say future growth is capped so PE of 4 or 5 is no go. At the end of the day I think it is market sentiment that determine.

MR MARKET IS VERY WRONG!
SHORT TERM HE DECIDES PRICES. BUT LONGER TERM THE STOCK HE BUYS DECIDES HIS FATE
HE MIGHT BE BULLLISH BIDDING UP THE PRICE OF A LESS DESIRABLE COMPANY SHORT TERM
BUT IF HE PAYS TOO HIGH A PRICE AND DON'T RUN IN TIME WHEN THE REAL VALUE EMERGES ONE DAY HE WILL SUFFER LOSSES
AND MANY DID SUFFER HORRENDOUS LOSSES & ARE MORTALLY WOUNDED

Years ago we met a Mr Ong in One Security Firm in Johor
He said he bought SUMATECH at 20 sen
SUMATECH then Rose to the High of 80 sen & he sold all
Then SUMATECH Crashed down to 20 sen again
This time emboldened by his gain he went ALL IN just putting all his money in SUMATECH at 20 sen
SUMATECH again rose the second time to 70 sen
We told him to take profit
"No! Sumatech will go above Rm1.00 to Rm1.20" He replied & will hold tightly all his SUMATEC Shares
Alas! SUMATEC CRASHED AND CRASHED TO ZERO & MR. ONG DISAPPEARED!

I'm old enough to remember SOP's public issue/IPO in early 1990s. I can't remember the exact price but it was around RM2.20. Most investors back then didn't care too much about it.
The top plantation counters to buy back then were KLK (which I had bought at RM3.30 one time), IOI, Golden Hope. But it's heartening to note that SOP is still doing fine. IB analysts like from Maybank also rate it highly. At this current level, I'd say SOP is a reasonably safe counter to buy.
