Blue sail medical 7.5 billion pieces of health protective gloves project officially put into production
April 30 (28), Blue Sail Medical announced that its investment in Zibo, Shandong Province construction of “7.5 billion/year health protection (nitrile) gloves project” from the second half of 2020 construction, to the current production line construction has been completed, began trial production, and in April 20, 2021 successfully output qualified nitrile gloves products.
From land clearing, plant construction, production line installation to smooth operation, the “7.5 billion/year health protection (nitrile) gloves project” of Lanfan Medical took less than 10 months from September 2020 to April 20 this year. The construction speed is significantly better than the average level of the industry.

It is understood that in 2020, Blue Sail Medical has already begun to invest in the field of health protective gloves and expand its production capacity to deal with the epidemic. The completion of the 7.5 billion/year health protection (nitrile) gloves project is also the landing of the investment project last year. In 2020, BlueFan Medical has carried out a total of “Annual Production of 2 billion pieces of PVC health protective gloves”, “Annual Production of 2 billion pieces of health protective gloves (new gloves) project in the third phase” and “60 million pairs of surgical gloves per year”, including the convertible bond fundraising project in February, and added “1.25 billion pieces of TPE protective gloves per year” by using the original site. China cannot compete in palm oil for two main reasons
1. Hainan island just like Penang island and Singapore island are just too expensive to use for agriculture as land prices are very very high
So it is economically not feasible to do agriculture
2. Palm oil cannot be fully automated unlike gloves
As China does not import Bangla or Indon labourers the wages offered in palm oil to small to attract workers as cost of living is much higher in Hainan island than on the mainland
Even if China could plant palm oil it will take until year 2026 before we see competition as palm oil needs at least 4 to 5 years from planting to first fruits

Daewoo to cultivate Madagascar land for free

Daewoo Logistics of South Korea said it expected to pay nothing to farm maize and palm oil in an area of Madagascar half the size of Belgium, increasing concerns about the largest farmland investment of this kind.
The Indian Ocean island will simply gain employment opportunities from Daewoo’s 99-year lease of 1.3m hectares, officials at the company said. They emphasised that the aim of the investment was to boost Seoul’s food security.
“We want to plant corn there to ensure our food security. Food can be a weapon in this world,” said Hong Jong-wan, a manager at Daewoo. “We can either export the harvests to other countries or ship them back to Korea in case of a food crisis.”
Daewoo said it had agreed with Madagascar’s government that it could cultivate 1.3m hectares of farmland for free when it signed a memorandum of understanding in May. When the company signed the contract in July, it agreed to discuss costs with Madagascar. But Daewoo now believes it will have to pay nothing.
“It is totally undeveloped land which has been left untouched. And we will provide jobs for them by farming it, which is good for Madagascar,” said Mr Hong. The 1.3m hectares of leased land is almost half the African country’s current arable land of 2.5m hectares. ...

Building a 4 Storey Factory building alone in 7 months is just too fast
But building 4 storey factories plus installing full glove production lines and start producing Gloves is like lightning speed
In Malaysia if you have Ready Made Factory it will take at least 6 months to set up Glove Production lines
If China follows Malaysia dateline of 6 months in setting up new glove production lines that means
it has only One month to build 4 Story Factories.
To build that fast means China is really serious to capture the Glove Market
So there is No moat. Very little barrier to competition in gloves.
