Return on Equity = Profit Margin x Total Asset Turnover x Equity Multiplier
=(Net profit/Revenue)x(Revenue/Total Asset)x(Total Asset/Total equity)
Get those ratio out, you will be clearer. (DuPont Analysis)

Hi citychew_1886, regarding the statement, yeah it is in HHGROUP quarter report. Firstly, what I provided above is based on its latest annual report, which was already three quarters ago. So, things might be change.
However, I believe even though foreign exchange will contribute to the Group, it will not be significant. On previous year, strengthening of USD and Renminbi somehow had cut down its profit.
The main problem of the Group now is due to low sales volume.
Btw, you may email me at richeho_92@hotmail.com or you may leave your email here, so I can contact you :)

Wise word from JT Yeo. Last two comment (y). Totally agree.
2015-12-01 16:41 | Report Abuse
JT Yeo,
1. Have a look at the below ROE:
Homeritz - 21.67%
Pohuat - 17.43%
Liihen - 21.72%
Latitude - 19.35%
Do you think it looks PRETTY bad?
2. Bonus issue is to sound like "reward" shareholder, but I guess the main intention of KAKASHIT is to hope the number of LATITUDE shares to be increase. Or maybe it can be the other way, SHARE SPLIT. Either share split or bonus issue will make LATITUDE share price to be cheaper and hence more people will be affordable. The possibility of continue going up is much higher, isn't it?
3. Latitude PE is 8.1+ currently, the lowest compared to Homeritz, Pohuat and Liihen. By looking at this, don't you agree that LATITUDE is undervalue and also the cheapest among others furniture company?
4. I agree with your forth statement. Latitude should use their cash to further expand their production capacity or acquisition so that they can increase their revenue and profit. This is one of the way to maximise shareholder fund.

1) Yee Wei Meng is an indirect major shareholder of Superlon by virtue of his direct and indirect interests in other companies. He is a non-independent non-executive director.
2) I believe most investors do not read and know about this annoucement. It is normal to have a short correction after breakout from its resistance 1.96. As long as it is able to stand above 1.96-2.00, the uptrend is still intact.

WE holds Jubilee, Jubilee holds EG, EG holds WE.
The boss behind, Mr. Terence.
Beware of this, because it might be a money game to unlock their cash and investment.
WE is a listed company in SGD, with quoted only SGD0.005! It is not able to convince me that they had the capable to improve their business.

CAREPLUS had a net exposure of MYR15.7m to USD. Supposingly, it is able to benefit from strengthening of USD, but CAREPLUS had fully hedged its USD currency risk by forward currency contracts. In short, CAREPLUS will not gain anything from it no matter how much USD appreciate against MYR.
Secondly, CAREPLUS revenue on FY14 was MYR152m. However, its major customer A had contributed MYR112m in it, which is equivalent to 73.7%! In other words, CAREPLUS revenue is mainly depends on customer A! If one day customer A no longer want to extend contract with CAREPLUS, imagine how big the effect will be! There are few glove manufacturer listed companies in Malaysia, such as Hartalega, Top Glove, etc.. And, CAREPLUS has a production capacity of less than 10% of the world’s biggest glove maker, Top Glove. Definitely, it is possible for its customer A to change supplier.

Agree with you JT Yeo. The person who say so will never reach the same level as the millionaire does, because they are finding reasons and excuses.

Hi chl1989, yeap you are right. I was wrong in the DCF model. Hahaha.
Regarding the interest rate of 7%, it was because I read a book and it listed down the interest rate that we should used for each BETA.
Btw, can you teach me how to find FCF in this case? How you get 15m? What to do with the cash and debt?
Thanks and appreciate if you willing to share with me hehe.

You are right, the three companies u mentioned above had made a lot of millionaire, but now I am referring to INSAS. So, are you a shareholder of INSAS? You may scroll back to its past 4 to 5 years price chart. From 2010 to mid of 2013, its price is only swinging between 0.4 to 0.6, until it acquired INARI. Now, you compared it with Berkahire Hathaway and Genting? o.O
Yeap agree with you market in 2015 is not good, most of the shares shown a strong rebound after the oil crisis. But, look at INSAS, how it performed?
You might think this analysis is silly, but some of them don't. Compare with others profit making company, it is a fact that its price is not perform well. You might think it is cheap, but for me it's not attractive at all. That's why I said there is no right or wrong.
2015-09-16 15:21 | Report Abuse
JT Yeo, hmm I had no comment on this since I only focus on Inari. Either Amerton shareholders are 'loser' or 'winner',doesn't important to me.

Tom, if you do some homework during the proposed acquisition, you will foresee the company future earnings. By that time, I believe the company shares price had just started to move. Of course, this is just a case study but with proven result.

John, the message I want to carry out was strengthening of USD will have impact on this company. CAGR can be set differently, but the first 2 quarters of FY15, ECS was still doing better than expectation, so I just put 7%.
Skyz, haha it is just an example. I do not own this stock and I also will not buy in at this moment. No positive catalyst.

Firstly, current ratio and acid test ratio is just a number, should not have $$ sign. A single ratio actually doesn't bring much meaning, it only show liquidity. It needs to be compare with previous year. Besides, acid test ratio doesn't reflect the inventory turnover. Try this --> Inventory holding period
Secondly, they do not have any any relationship within them, so it is not consider circulate among family member, maybe among directors themselves.
Thirdly, reduce in borrowing doesn't mean the management financing part is good. It needs to compare with cash in hand also. For example, the debt reduced by 10k, but their cash on hand reduced by 20k.
Fourthly, strengthening of RMB & USD are actually bad for the company, even though the largest portion of revenue is from China. Cannot conclude based on the revenue segment only. Err, you can refer to annual report's sensivity analysis.
However, the company had expansions which sound goods. The business itself is quite unique and good for environment. I think it is considered good among the small cap. company. Do notice it from time to time as it doesn't have much historical result.
Gar yao Vinnie! :)
