It'll be interesting to see how much epf has left in the next AR to be printed in the next 6 months. I'm pretty confident that after the recent rocketing move, they have less than 150 mil. Selling non-stop since 55c... A case study in POOR management of retirement funds!

Bought in 2016, SOLD in the 1.80s in '17. Bought back @ 1.39 in '20...SOLD back @ 1.48 in '22, a bit too early as it turns out....Avoiding for now...

Most counters cannot invest for long-term...better to trade in & out.

Buying is a little too frenzied in my opinion. SOLD 12% of my accumulated lots @ 86-87.5c...Can diversify to other just as good dividend stocks =)

As someone already pointed out, main obstacle to either YTL or Power rising fast to fairer levels is the sheer no. of outstanding scrip...so this stock not suitable for kancheong spiders.

Only 7 days of 100 mil + trading vol has been registered in YTL's 36 yr trading history: one in 2012, one in 2018, three in 2020 & so far, two in 2023 =)

Likelihood of 3.5% or better div yield has just increased significantly, potentially attracting NEW funds while booting out the old(epf)

The holdings in the listed entities is up on paper by quite a bit compared to this time last year so there is a cushion agst rising interest rates & foreign currencies...

Current assets increased by $2.4 bil while current liabs increase by $1.4 bil. Cash increase fr $11.4 to $13.5 bil even though gearing also up very slightly. For the last 9 mth, turnover up almost 13% which means their leisure segments are recovering nicely.

Waterfall pattern....better not touch for the sake of your sanity for the next 2-3 yrs.

At some point, a loss announcement will have little, no or even opposite effect on shr price. Remember that the price has more than doubled from a 56.5c low amid & despite the last 3 qtrs of losses. Buyers are anticipating a return to normal demand/supply dynamics with the overstocking gradually cleared out & the closing shop of smaller players.
