Amazing! I was stuck with 4k STAR from 1.75 down to 0.745 bought from '17-'19, then averaged down 3k @ 36c in '20, another 3k @ 35.5c in '21, then casually bought another 3.3k @ 31-32c in the 1st 3 mths this year, prepared for the LOOOOONG HAUL...bringing my average down to 59.72c, still very high relatively.

If I had missed even ONE of the later purchases, my avg would have been 62c or higher & wouldn't be profitable even at the peak this morning. As it turned out, I took this opportunity to SELL 2.8k from 60.5c to 62.5c to reverse a paper loss that was $3.6k (-45%) as recently as last month !!!

The co. bought back 41 mil shrs in the last 3 sessions...

At lot of fake buying will happen in the first few hours & then the TRUE story will happen in the afternoon. Bearish stocks= start strong, end weak ; Bullish stocks = start weak, end strong.

Since 2013 at least, Do the OPPOSITE of 2. & one will be profitable. Since 2021, 5. have been suffering heavy losses, hence the paucity of stocks going up in the last 2 years. Since 2018, 6. have largely fled hence the moribund volumes.

There was a relatively narrow window to sell above $1. My fren got wind of Sumatec being goreng when it was 20-30c...it went up to a peak of 63.5c within a week. He didn't sell, even after I saw the bearish engulfing candlestick on the 1st dump day & warned him. He's still holding it, believe it or not!

An unknown quantity of FOREIGN FUNDS are running out through the same narrow door before they lose even more since the price dropping like a stone is scary to them...if they all panic at the same time, it can even conceivably limit DOWN...not impossible.

Today, the shares I started buying in 2016 finally, FINALLY cross into breakeven even including commissions...a little rueful that I increased my YTL holdings by such a big % last year but neglected to add a single share of YTLPowr from '20 until now...one of the unforseeable miscalculations...

Despite the drop today, the selling Q is very low for a co. with free float of 400 mil shrs: only 239.9k Q-ing to sell in the 5 lowest selling prices.

The acquisition of 2.5 mil is a smokescreen...the chart looks like Sumatec in 2014 & countless other purely goreng companies that have gone on to lose 85-100% of their value after 'game over'!

The sponsoring broker bought up the IPO, organise a talk(mousetrap) by the CEO inflating the co's allure to lure unsuspecting retailers in, then immediately DUMPed to them...that's why the stock peaked right at the time of that talk in Mar 2017....Scam job, just like now!

Why would you even risk buying @ LD price??? Fundamentally it's koyak & fair value is no more than 30c! If you purely speculate & LOSE, you only have yourself to blame!

Lol....I remember walking out of the talk (I had gone for the free food) when the CEO started his promotion presentation & the dealers asked me to stay to listen & in my heart I thought: "I'm not dumb enough to fall for your stock peddling tactics!" I only came back after they resumed the market outlook portion of the talk...Well, a close call after being stuck with my last 3 lots @ a ridiculously expensive 99c & now I keep my 100% record on this stock :)

I knew this was a scam-prone co. from the start...when IPO-ed, the sponsoring broker organized a talk by the CEO just at the tail-end of a rising post-listing trend that peaked around $1.80. I swore never to touch it after I recognised their modus operandi in distributing to naive retailers BUT got tempted when it slid to $1.27 since it paid a surprisingly regular dividend back then. Kept dropping & I averaged down @ 85c & then 55c but it slid all the way to the 30c range even in 2019. Kept collecting the dividend 3 times a year: $180, $180, $180 & then took the chance to exit most of my position@ the natural $1 resistance since my avg cost was 99c or so. The co. soon kept reporting losses & I eyed a re-entry in the 30c range last year BUT chickened out due to the poor results & no dividend. No regrets selling my last 3 lots @ $1.07...even IF it rebounds...

Directors themselves also started disposing big lots from 85 - 104c already even lower than my final exit @ 107c & 100-101c back in Jan '20 lol

Even b4 the UMA, a lot of rats already followed the Pied Piper....now still holding = HOLLAND!

I'm a little giddy as I had a hunch to check my maybank portfolio & to my shock I discovered that I bought 8k in Aug '18 for 17c but had forgotten about it since it showed a paper loss ever since. I SOLD 3k for 61c just now for a record 669 trading days in a row with at least one realised gain...another miracle!
