@titus,
guess our aim of buying PCHEM at low prices would not be possible anytime soon, support seems strong and the bulls seem to be back in Bursa.

UTDPLT has impressed me, share price movement wise. Other plantation stocks are struggling to maintain its price while UTDPLT remains comfortable.

highly impossible to drop to RM3, or even RM5 for now, unless nxt QR shows a loss.
Max limit down would be RM5.50 for KESM's price, until Sept 2019 at least.
KESM is not a rotten stock yet. Plenty of unscrupulous management running horrible businesses out there, but KESM is not one of them.

Well, QL has had 10 continuous uninterrupted years of giving dividends, which many companies fail to do. Generally good companies give generous dividends but QL puts its cash into good use by reinvesting in its business, which is delayed gratification for investors when QL churns bigger profits in future.
To say Philip has no integrity or his stock analysis is baseless is entirely untrue. His stock analysis carries more weight than 90% of what us i3investor forumers' comments. At least his stock picks produce sustainable returns with low risk as compared to speculative hot stocks which have high risk of capital loss.

Profit down mainly due to increase in raw material cost and consumables, which doubled.
Revenue actually reduced by RM10mil only.
It seems very bad but a closer look will tell us it ain't that terrible.
I would collect if KESM falls to RM5.

Look at 2015/2016's div amount.
I expected a higher div this time, since some of last year's cash was for capex.
Besides, this wouldn't spark the market's interest, & SAM's price would probably not rise beyond the limit of RM8.50+, based on the behavior of SAM for the past 3 yrs, at least.
Good prospects nonetheless frm SAM in this tough economic environment, maybe my expectation was too high.

Anyone knows if ICAP is still holding Boustead shares?
ICAP is going to suffer badly if they refuse to offload them, like how the deadwood Parkson did.
ICAP was good in its earlier years, and if they could just replicate that, exciting times would await in future.

I've been away for a few days. Now what I see is fellow forumers taking the opportunity to bash Mr. Philip when QL announced a slight drop in YOY performance in this QR.
Oh please.
Didn't the overall revenue & profit for QL increase from FY 2018 to 2019? Not many companies grew in overall revenue & profit in the past year amidst challenging economic environment.
Again, price is what you pay. Value is what you get. PE 50 encompasses stability that QL has been providing recently. PE 5 Dayang is good for trading, but huge volatility comes with it.
QL is one stable stock alongside PB Bank which I can safely rely on while buying more speculative stocks for trading.

Just curious. What strategies are you guys using for GTRONIC after seeing the worst QR in years?
1. Buy cheap and average down. HODL.
2. Sell now bcause QR is atrocious. Avoid further losses.
3. Hold until next QR. It will stage a comeback!
4. Day trade and Shorting the shares.
5. Avoid, bcause it's too volatile, a falling knife.

It would not crash to 1300-1400 level. Not in the near term, at least.
There will be support as some are happily gobbling up shares.
Trump's actions and policies seem to be good to the US market, so Wall Street will not fall.
As long as Wall Street remains intact, Malaysia, like any other market is still safe. Recovery is possible in the short term. Unless, of course, President Xi declares an all out trade war against Trump.
Besides, oil price is steadying now.

@calvintaneng,
Inferior compared to other products doesn't mean one is lousy. Merely means one is slightly lower in quality, eg 916 gold vs 999 gold.
QL is for investment purposes. Why sell QL now when there's more profit to be churned out? Why kill the Golden Hen now when more golden eggs are arriving in future?
QL = Quietly Lucrative.

Paying dividends is important.
1. Investor's return.
2. As good record for future investors.
3. As a symbol of quality. Many Bursa stocks don't even pay half sen.
4. Show that free cashflow is real.

you buy in places having oversupply 5 years later house still same price.
the key is purchasing property in places which are constantly in demand.
