Paying dividends is important.
1. Investor's return.
2. As good record for future investors.
3. As a symbol of quality. Many Bursa stocks don't even pay half sen.
4. Show that free cashflow is real.

@calvintaneng,
Magic is where something is created out of seemingly nothing. It may appear out of someone's beliefs and expectations. It may also be mere trickery. Magic in anything can also be the result of consistency.

@jollybee,
which branch are you referring to and did you complaint to their superiors?
or are you saying that PBB causes us investors to lose money?
For me, no issues. Personally, I feel it's one of the fastest banks & among the most sustainable stocks. Will HODL.

@calvintaneng,
this is a forum where anyone can express anything as long as it's not extreme. You can say anything you want in any i3 forum. I can do the same.
You know, you can't silence me unless you become i3investor admin first.
"I think you and I are destined to do this forever." Whereever you hangout in i3, I won't hesitate in joining your discussion. Perhaps you could enlighten fellow i3investors on 'real life' instead?

crowdfunding for the house you want works only if the location is good.
you buy in places having oversupply 5 years later house still same price.
the key is purchasing property in places which are constantly in demand.

I'm very thankful to you for making me laugh non-stop. Nonsense statements from you makes LOL.
"price rise of crude oil will eat into Padini cost of production"? ------My reply: What's the correlation here?! Padini is mostly cotton-made.
"Sorchai 3iii does not understand correlation of production cost and profit. After he bankrupted people in invest lah forum he will spread his poisoned teaching here" ------ My reply: I believe you were referring to yourself instead of 3iii? 3iii's sound investment theories are time-tested reliable strategies. Your speculative theories seem more like "poisoned teaching".

you may have beaten the established sifus from Jan 2019-May 2019 but don't forget you have never beaten them previously.
Form is temporary, class is permanent. Great companies will always beat mediocre companies consistently from medium term to long term.

one more bad quarter and sharks will drive it down to RM7.00. The perils of having a stock with low number of shares it price fluctuation is inevitable. Price can skyrocket or crash.
Wait for the quarter report before buying or selling.

Let it crash beneath 1600. Then we will see how many actually hold stocks for the long term. It may slip below 1600 but I suppose a mini-rebound will occur.

Not really dead. Buffett never discloses how he precisely selects stocks, so he might be using the same method he used. Or even if he deviated from what he used to do, it is still value investing. The idea of value investing is always to buy stocks below the intrinsic/apparent value. Buffett probably thought Amazon to be undervalued now, could grow further in future & probably has a very strong sustainable competitive moat.
From what I see, Buffett is now acquiring shares of strongest companies, eg Apple, Amazon. Perhaps, he wants Berkshire to be the monopoly holder of strongest stocks for the next 50 years.

I think the market will take a wait and see approach. Public bank's growth is slowing down & may concern investors. PBB's slowing profits is probably due to banking sector slowing down as a whole. Hopefully PBB will form a double-bottom and reverse into an uptrend real soon. For now, it still is the bank with the highest EPS and profits.

I have no idea why when I leave a comment on a stock in i3 nowadays, its share price would start falling after a week or so. I'm just a small fry & have no control over stocks. Just trying to earn some extra ringgit in the stock market.
I must've offended some big shark here. :-(

not for holding long term.

in your view, which stage is our current market in right now?
do you think it's wiser to get in while the benchmark KLCI is at almost a 3 yr low or wait until signs of an uptrend is visible?

within 5 yrs, QL's revenue & profit have almost doubled.
share price movement have followed in tandem with its financial performance.
reaching the 1bil revenue in quarter performance would propel QL to greater heights.
one could say that QL deserves its sky high PE, since QL's consistent growth and profit churning capabilities are nearly unparalleled.

35sen is near impossible unless:
1. BJCorp posts a profit for the year,
2. Entire stockmarket experiences a bull run, OR
3. Privatisation by Tan Sri Vincent.
Based on observation, BJCorp would at most be goreng-ed until 32sen by year end, if circumstances remain the same.

not really so. Nestle's Milo has near monopoly over other chocolate drinks. 100Plus has near monopoly over other isotonic drinks here.
Gov. given monopoly is could be a double-edged sword, but brand monopoly might be one of the strongest moats. Think of GSC & TGV cinemas too.
