@stockraider You can dream on about the liquidation, which requires 75% shareholders approval. All that is needed is a 25% vote to block any such proposals. With the DRIP, there will be a slow drift in the shareholders' demographics. It will be like the country, those who don't like the system will migrate, those who stay behind and have children will increase in the racial composition. So same with iCap. Those who take cash dividend will be diluted by those who take the DRIP, and we all know who the latter will vote for. This is part of the takeover proof defense build up, along with the now injuncted foreign shareholders limit.

Alot of people complained that the payment for the takeover is paid in the form of cheques instead direct bank credit, this is bcos LTAT use Boardroom instead of the usual TRICOR as the registrar.

This result is technical problem, in terms of accessing into shareholders bank particulars loh!

When come to voting for ICAP liquidations it is a different ball game mah!

But u must also take note, that KLK have been acquiring many other plantations which have lower productivity mah! It takes many yrs to rehabilitate these sub-performing plantations loh!

However u take the best performing estates of KLK v UP, the productivity is almost equivalent loh!

For investors who invest in KLK the growth ha manage will be high whereas UTD Plant that the ha productivity will be highly efficient loh!

My family own 6 acres farmland in Slim River whereas my uncle own 1.5 acres in cameron highland.....but the productivity of my uncles in more than 5x of my family.

This bcos my uncle spend enormous time & resources maintaining to ensure the farm receive the best inputs to achieve high productivity loh!

My family farm after taking advice of my uncle has achieve very good productivity & today our farm productivity has been narrowed to 2.5x compare to 5x previously loh!

Thus u can see KLK having a very much bigger ha will usually have a better potential in terms of profit potential loh!
