Indonesian maid is a scam.
There are a sizeable Indonesian community in Malaysia who enjoy benefits of permanent resident status or even as citizen.
New arrivals as maids mingle with these people and they get feedback on how to unshackle themselves from the bondage with employer. Thus they misbehave and refuse to work for ulterior motive of escaping to a better status. They too want to enjoy like their fellow countrymen. This is basic psychology. The fuss about abuse is just cooked up.
