Got project coming into their belt already. Petronas is going to weed off all foreign contractor and vendor, and put them all local.

this yr, more contracts will be awarded to bumi companies & i support this policy of favouring local companies coz it will strengthen our domestic markets creating more jobs or raise since majority m'sians feel the rising costs of living already

Yea. Malaysian Oil and Gas company is going to get back all the contract and projects bit by bit, especially this kind of projects that always talk about billions.
Oil and Gas sector will be very bullish for 2014. Projects after projects to spin the price higher and higher

Bone, you are right Petronas is favoring more local companies.. but...

Perisai is majority owned by Ezra.. a listed Singapore entity.. can they get Petronas project? Recently Petronas declined to renew their MOPU Rubicone 3+1+1 contarct and SapuraKencana cancel their E3 pipe layer barge 2+1+1 contract....

Now they relying on Hess for their FPSO Kamelia (50% owned by Ezra) on north Malay basin gas (Thailand) and their new rig Pacific 1 will be working for a Philippines company. Also all their OSV is currently leased to Ezra on 3 year contract. They need to expand outwards independently as local jobs might be difficult for them...due to their ownership...

Malaysia boleh!

Yea, I agree with you on the facts in Perisai that the current outlook seems that the 2 asset had been lying idle at port. However, share market is always dirty. When Barakah T&I project is yet to be announced, some insider clicks already got to know them already, I also got to know that T&I project is going to Barakah when it is just RM 1.20.

Outlook got it's advantage as well.. if the company can pull it off, they will have a good reputation compared to international players. Ezra is a very experienced OnG player, hopefully support will be there from the majority shareholder.

Just that the management can no longer rely on local politically connected jobs...
