Sanofi suffers major setback in development of a Covid-19 vaccine

One of the world’s leading vaccine manufacturers has suffered a major setback in its work to produce a Covid-19 vaccine. The problem will push the timeline for deployment of Sanofi Pasteur’s vaccine — if it is approved — from the first half of 2021 into the second half of the year, the company said Friday.

china vaccines will not be as popular as western vaccines. China vaccines are to fill up the shortage of western vaccines mostly in the poorer countries that unable to access western vaccines. That is bcos no choices available. China vaccines are for diplomacy purposes. china vaccines are cheaper and with lower profit margin. ccrrect?

why msia signed agreement with pfizer to get 20% of the vaccines. reason is western vaccines are more popular and reputable. why not sign with China and use china vaccine as a backup only. what do the majority Msian think about china vaccines. will they willing to use china vaccine if western vaccines are available later. what about the poorer Msian will they fork out money or wait for free vaccines as promised by TSMY. Will Msian wait for western vaccine that is more reputable and trustable in the pharma industry. .correct?

glove and vaccine are for comparison only. not that I m promoting glove or own any glove ctr. glove can generate huge sales and profit due to gloves are disposable item after use and repeatedly use daily. Vaccine is one time use and dont know when going to use 2nd time as no record jow long the vaccine can last in our body. how to compare with glove like this. not comparable. correct?

I don’t get some of the point here.
It seem wrong judgment by some of the investor.
How would you conclude that Western vaccine is better and well know for worldwide?

And Malaysia engage few type of vaccine is because Malaysia is play safe games. which means Malaysia free to collaborate with any country as long as the vaccine is good.

Is not about Western vaccine is good or bad.

Additional to that. there is no vaccine yet certified HALAL yet. even though it doesn’t means
that they are non halal. (Correct me if i’m wrong)

Lastly, FDA just approve emergency use of Pfizer which mean they finally can inject to human. (Correct me if i’m wrong)

But China vaccine has started inject to human since many month ago. and distributed to quite a number of country.

And the main concern for Malaysia is HALAL a not?

Come to think about it.. If UAE and Indonesia (Muslim country) both of them has been secure with China vaccine.. What so big deal Malaysia take china vaccine as well?

No record of saying that the vaccine is last forever.

Increase in glove rate is there but not as much as in pandemic free season.

Vaccine is prevention.... must be inoculated when the body is deficient like hepatitis B etc....
