HLIB in NST today say merger deal to be in lower range of 1.5 to 1.6 times book value(versus Eon Bank 1.4 times via all-cash acquisition). Why must CIMB overpay like people in OSK, MBSB and RHB thread say? Maybe only Aabar Investment(entry cost RM10.80) need to be paid more not other shareholders.

If opposing shareholder tarik harga just cancel merger because Maybank is not pursuing RHB.

Datuk Nazir if you read my post here can I apply for high post in CIMB because I am fighting for CIMB despite many people in these forum support OSK, RHB and MBSB. Like you I have cashed out my CIMB and waiting for lower price to reenter.

Not fair for Nazir to create a mega bank but not hands on as CEO, will recruit a new L licence CEO but promote himself to be chairman go upstairs less hands on. This just not fair to public. U want a mega bank, run it yourself, don't trust new chap whom you have not even recruit

Anyway I do not have any CIMB shares, but historically, when any M&A happens, banks with weaker fundamental take the benefit.

The moment I saw this *MBSB had a gross NPL ratio of 7.6% as at end-March 2014* .... wah lau wehh...

Just for reference...why I think MBSB NPL @ 7.6% is too high...
I remember back in 2008 during recession, average national NPL was around 4-5%, so now we're not in recession, how could MBSB shows such figure...

So, to some existing shareholders of CIMB, they might see this as buying rubbish company...

CIMB should reflect a "fair value" for shares swap during acquisition to be a MEGA Islamic Bank. In my opinion, it will not allow to dive so low.....

Why u guys invest in CIMB for the ciput dividends ????

no capital gain, somemore capital lost.

Other counters like Susumatetek, Sauna, Irish, Ecowild, Latarsonic, Ifcamsc, Hoviagra, Pmetal, Airasia-18X, tari-inari, bhs, mudah, prestariang-ria-raya earn so many round why u guys still choose to stuck here and waste time ??
