If you don't know how to do business, you will remain a poor person forever, who are you to blame?

Be careful market has never accorded RHB that kind of valuation ie 10+

It is an internal valuation for the merger purpose.... ask yourself if the value/market price of the new bank can ever reach the value now given under the merger exercise? ???

Posted by AhMoi > Oct 10, 2014 09:16 AM | Report Abuse X

Say, A's market value as accorded by the market all this while is 300k,
B's 100k

Now they want to merge and value themselves, themselves. .. oh.... A is worth 500k, B is worth 250k

And, they set up a new co C... ask yourself will the market value of C be suddenly 750k???? 350k more over 400k just like that...

Just wondering, If RHBcap is the bigger loser, why MBSB and RHBcap 's prices increase but CIMB reduce?

Logic thinking, CIMB share price should at least maintain at RM7.20+ or much higher in order for the share swap to be seen as a "good deal" in the eyes of the RHB & MBSB shareholders!!!

Unless there is a shareholder in CIMB holding a "fair block of shares" is dumping. It will rebound until the dumping stops....Really got to be patient and just watch...

Is it time to buy CIMB now? Why drop so low?

psd57 and abu aufa, the fair value of cimb within the range of rm5.70-6.00 only. not more than that. cimb will pose lower profit in next quarter. that is the reason why cimb want to acquire or merge with rhb and mbsb.. their net profit is fast eroding...our recommendation is strongly sell..accumulate if price reach 6.07-6.30..gdd luck....sell

The recent DRS (Dividend Reinvestment Scheme) issue price is at RM6.78 per share. So, decision to buy or not to buy at the moment is up to individual to decide based on our risk appetite and availability of funds.

Bought some at 6.76 n 6.77 ...........................

Posted by Patrick Ngian > 2014-10-10 12:33 | Report Abuse

As I mentioned b4, Coz CIMB will issue new share to buy a premium of RHB Islamic bank. RHB is valued at higher (10.028) share swap deal with CIMB. 1 for 1.38 cimb share. RHB don't lose much coz current share price is low . But Cimb lose out for this deal short term, unless market believe there is synergy in the merger. Mbsb is the safest bet as involve in cash deal. buy mbsb if deal succeed price will reach 2.82.

EPF should not be given voting rights n CIMB minorities should vote "No" to the merger for the benefit of CIMB shareholders. This is my opinion only. Trade at own risk

Posted by Patrick Ngian > 2014-10-10 13:21 | Report Abuse

EPF is in conflict of interest to vote.. as they have shares in this three companies. should let minority shareholder to vote... but who knows.. this is boleh land.. everything is possible..

Finally I decided to buy some @RM6.70. Pray hard that EPF can use its magic wand to stop the "bleeding".

Posted by richienexus > 2014-10-10 16:02 | Report Abuse

Based on the exchange ratio of 1:38 (1 RHB Capital share for 1.38 CIMB Group share), at RHB's current market price of RM8.90, CIMB would continue to fall to RM6.45. CIMB is now doing at RM6.67, hence, still long way to fall.
