There is a strong demand for property priced between RM450K to RM600K in mainland Penang. Indeed, there is a significant shortage of "affordable" housing to house the middle class income earners in the state of Penang. A visit to the Batu Kawan sales office shows the land at Batu Kawan will be used to predominantly build affordable housing priced at RM450K to RM600K.
Hi, anyone with experience subscribing rights issue before, care to explain? with regards to announcement made on bursa below; does it mean that we could start subcribing the rights from 4 Dec and latest by 17 Dec? What about item 1 and 4, what it means?

The Stock Short Name, Number and ISIN Code [ GOB-OR, 1147OR and MYL1147OR000 ] respectively.
GOB-OR will be traded from 3rd Dec.The mother price by that time should already be adjusted. Yu pay RM1000 for 2000 units of rights an get 1000 unit free warrant. A capital layout of RM 1800 + RM 1000 = RM 2800 (at current price). You have total 4000 GOB shares and 1000 free warrant. Mathematically, the share price is likely to adjust to RM 0.70, but with warrant attached, it may be lower, say 65 cents and warrant is 20 cents. So if you sell the OR and do not want to subscribe to the right, how much will be the OR? As you only pay 50 cents to get the right, by logic, the OR should worth 15 cents or even more.
very strong selling pressure for this counter. It seems not many are interested in this rights issue and are more interested in dumping this share before rights.
yup, i concur with your observation.....initially I thought of dumping too...but decided to take it anyway for mid/long term as the free warrant is a good offer, me think... so, if market don't crash next year and GOB keep improving, then we could make some profit both from warrant and mother shares....
come on....company is going through rights issue - will surely release good quarterly reports - to entice you and me to subscribe...i got a feeling today's price will still be the same as yesterday
I have a feeling that company who offers Right issues are not doing so well or hard to get cheap finances elsewhere; that is the only reason they offer right issues to raise fund from existing shareholders.
GOB latest quarter results include ESOS expenses of RM6 mil. Exclude that item, net profit would be RM16.5 mil. EPS would be 6.6 sen in this latest quarter. The company is doing well, not withstanding share price weakness
i bought during September at the price of 1.08, as long as it is a good company, i will keep it for long term....... may keep for 30 yrs........ hahahahaha
Hi all sifus...may i ask one question about P/E ratio. Referring back to Icon8888's article: http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/icon8888/50872.jsp In his article, he stated that the EPS from Damen should be RM0.417 (i.e.; 41.7 cents)
Assuming, if EPS = RM0.30 (30 cents) and we fixed PE at 6.0
Then, we all say - Price = 6.0 x RM0.30 = RM1.80
The problem now is the definition of EPS.
Do we look at quarterly EPS/ yearly EPS/ the cumulative/ retained earnings as part of EPS? I mean how do we define EPS and how this will affect the pricing of the share based on PE ratio?
thanks Justin Ngo. Another question. How do we determine the PE Ratio? normally, people will just hentam 4 , 5, 6, 7...any logic behind these numbers (of 4,5,6,7...)?
Current price ÷ eps = pe. pe used to estimated a target price n to c whether d counter is cheap or not. Normal pe is x15. Also depend on sector. Some sector pe is high n it is acceptable.
I notice consistently strong selling in this counter and many times near or at closing the selling is even stronger and looks intentionally so, to close the stock at a low price. Because the counter has no big, strong holders (top 30 shareholders own only slightly above 40% of the stock), perhaps "scaring" tactics are used by relatively bigger momentum players to push the stock down (at the moment). I hope my guess is correct, in which case momentum players may one day reverse their game and push the stock the way round.
Not sure when, but perhaps they will continue to push it down during the trading the of the rights, so that they can purchase the rights cheaply, exercise them and get the free warrant, and then start pushing the stock subsequently.
Vested, and hoping my guess is correct. (Perhaps there are just too many property counters and the loosely held ones just have to fall more than the tightly held stocks)

BatuKawan is a strategic location, it will be the key development area for the next 10~20 years. Big multinational companies, Ikea, hp, bose, 3m ... , to name a few are setting up plants or outlets in BatuKawan, they do not do this for fun.....
Just buy and watch the quarterly report performance periodically, you can dream on and wake up to find yourself end up a multi millionaire one day.....provided gob's management is righteous.

if interested to subscribe,, then do not do anything to the OR,,it will be trading for 5 days only starting from 3rd december... after 4th you will get the application form or prospectus or you can download it from bursa site from 4th december onwards till last day is 17th december... but for those who are not interested in subscribing can start SELLING THE OR ONCE IT IS LISTED ON MORNING OF 3RD DECEMBER...USUALLY OR PRICE IS LOW... Please consult your remiser if you are still confuse...
