EPF cashing out??

stkoay

5,925 posts

Posted by stkoay > 2 months ago | Report Abuse

Price at current level, funds are sitting on profits.
Funds do not net buy without selling, if they do that then price will move up in a straight line and they will be buying very expensive.
Selling at these level will bring profits and at the same time bring down the price for a better/lower entry level later.
So, in short, they trade even if they are accumulating...
EPF now also do that intra day....

Dividend investing is like planting a tree...

The earlier you start, the bigger your tree is going to grow.

And before you know it, you will be resting in the shade of your own financial forest, enjoying the fruits of your labor, year after year...

Why?

Because dividends... GROW.

And that's how some Dividend Machines reached their milestones in dividends.

For the past 10 years...

DBS (Bank) increased their dividends by 158%
Wilmar (Plantation) increased their dividends by 112%
So if you think $5,000 in annual dividends today is too little...

Your $5,000 'passive' income just became:

$12,900 if you invested in DBS
$10,600 if you invested in Wilmar
All you did is buying the right dividend stocks...

...And wait

Get paid in year 1...

...And wait

Get paid more in year 2...

...And wait

Get paid even more in year 3...

Current 12-mths EPS is 77.48sen.

Maybank Fair value / benchmark is PEx12

Fair-value = RM9.30 (after div ex-date).

This price would be a basis till next Q1 2024 report in May2024.

Plan your trade and good luck.

@linges, that was historical numbers, analyst normally calculate fair value based on projected forward PE.

In 2022, management gave a KPI ROE of 10.5 to 11% when NTA was 7.13
For full year 2023, company achieved a EPS of 77.55 sen, which is 10.8% ROE.

This year, management KPI ROE is 11% based on latest NTA of 7.84.
If management achieved KPI (which they normally do), EPS will be 86 sen
...at 12x PE, fair value will be 10.32.....
...and if they maintain 77% payout for cash dividend, then DPS will be 66 sen.

Looking at the latest few quarters after the new CEO took over, Maybank is now a Growth Stock...revenue is up, profit is up and dividend is also up :)

Yes, Maybank pays higher yield than EPF!
My Maybank dividend will be used to DIY DRP instead of topping up EPF.

Then, buy more MBB for 6% yield, anywhere epf money withdraw from mbb dividend

Posted by prudentinvestor > 2 months ago | Report Abuse

I am neither disappointed nor elated. I think 5.5% is reasonable if we ignore the fact that Ringgit has been depreciating against the US and Sing Dollars over the past year.
