The movement we see now in UP may be a start of a new uptrend similar to the one from 2003 to 2013. I hope so. No doubt a lot of investors are shifting from tech, biotech and development into commodities, metals, miners and oil these days. Supply of essentials like energy and food has been overlooked in may years but now it has got new attention.

UP will thrive both good and bad times. when CPO normalises which is a question of when rather than not if, guess which plantation co will make the most profit? look at their yields and cost of production

It looks like UP is finally breaking out from this consolidation monster pattern it has been running in for the last 9 years. I wonder who is selling their shares right now. It may launch from the this resistance line it has just broken and go vertical up to around 35. Money is shfting into commodities from tech and the move might go fast when new buyers with tech money identifies this candidate.

If you look at the ratio, Crude Palm Oil / Share price of UP, you will see that in the period from 2013 to 2021 you could buy approx 180 share in UP for a ton of palm oil. During the last year where the palm oil has surged this ratio has changed so you now can buy 391 shares for one ton of palm oil. if the ratio shall move back to this old level again UP shares shall more than double.

Wah, now star war high tech promotion tactic lo. Suddenly using R2d2 to promote. Wakakaka.
I low tech one, cannot understand. I only know that they bought a plantation in 'Semenajung Malaysia' in 2019 when many company are trying to sell in peninsula Malaysia. They never complain about drop in production due to worker shortage. Their yield still going up except the Indonesia plantation. They have an R&D department. And currently they are still looking for plantation to buy if opportunity arise. Their ESG is one of the best I've ever seen, you can read in AR.

UP has almost no debt, so a bit disapointing they pay such a high premium for securing the future sales price. They are not dictated by creditors to lock prices to satisfy them. Many oil companies haVe stopped this practice years ago as they where constantly loosing big money to smart traders. Still I hope UP will break out of the consolidation pattern.
