honestly i would only consider this counter cheap if it trades below 1.40. That is with a BIG condition and assumption if net profit growth remains unchanged, no NPL etc.

But i am very doubtful that should we head into an economic slowdown, SME's will be immune to it.

Attractive as it is the first bank price which is very close to 2008 price (any bonus issues after 2008? If got, still not bad) but downside risk is high as highlighted above.

poor management. No growth catalyst. Business can be easily taken away by bigger banks. High staff turnover. Most staff there waiting to leave, just waiting for opportunity. But couldnt leave. Coz no standards.

Also, if ABMB is so bad, why are they still making reasonable profits consistently for the so many years? Also if PE less tha 7 and DY of 6+% is bad ... may I know ehat are good to you? I have provided countless views on this counter for slightly more than a year. While i have provided concrete figures and facts, many have dismissed them and shot me for sharing.

I am not throwing tantrum. I am merely stating facts, I am not your researcher nor your remisier. If you are really interested, do your homework, make the effort to read back my comments. Else do your own homework by looking at the historical performance of this counter for the past decade. Nobody is going to spoonfeed you. The fact that i have arleady posted the figures before this and you ask me to feed you again, shows the kind of attitude you have.

It doesn't matter if it was trading at RM 4.00 or RM 2.60, the fact is that there is almost NO growth in this counter for past 8 years. You can say that the dividend yield is good at 5 % or 6%, but why would i want to invest in a counter with DY of 5%-6% but no upside in price, but at the same time have to take the downside risk? i might as well put in FD or EPF.

As my name nick suggest, my forte is more on Technical Analysis, hence TA_Trader, i know many bankers. I also know various bankers who have worked under various ABMB CEO's tenure. Hence, i know how things work there.

I have also invested in this counter about a decade ago and have profited from it amid rumours of DBS takeover. Hence until today i will scoff at such rumours about singapore bank taking over etc. Imagine this rumour has been around for more than a decade, and u all still banging on bank's taking over?

Have u ever thought when is the best time for other banks to take over alliance? its when its CHEAP.
I can only imagine them buying over when it is distressed, simply because there is no synergy created by taking over ABMB. My take is that only when its trading sub RM 1.00 or below RM 1.00..

my analysis was from 1 year ago until today. Analysis has to be fluid, don't just take into account of historical events, current events, but also expectation of future events.
