According to company report first turbine is commissioned , power selling to Laos ?

No idea on it, but from my point of view, the project is very important to Laos country, the government and company side will make this project successfull. Now is Oct already, turbine definitely have to start power generating.

If you refer to Sino Hydro website update, as at 19/6 the first turbine already went through the first level test & the capability of power generation already ready. I guess after 2 months of preparation the sales of test power should be started or will be started soon.

Anyway hope some sort of announcements will be made soon.

My opinion is turbine and hydropower not the issue. Because hydropower is a mutual industry. Not the high technology sector. The risk is very low. I guest is waiting power cable to connect Cambodia. Furthermore, power cable also not the high risk project.

LSS3 announce hard to say. Some news say Sep, last Q 2019 and some say 1Q 2020.Based on the exp LSS and LSS2 ,i think result will be out faster.

Management in recent q report page 26 stated that Mfcb will be compensated by sale of test energy in 4q19 of which turbine 1 already running now and other turbines are expected to be commissioned progressively thereafter.That means 4q revenue and profit will be more than 3q19.

Public Investment Bank estimated the sales of testing power will generate around USD5-10 millions, but I m rather be conservative, I will take USD 5 millions as estimation.

Assume USD 5 millions as revenue :

Miscellaneous Cost 5%
Loas Income Tax : 24%

MFCB 80%

Net income will be : USD 2.89 millions (around RM11.85 millions, EPS around 3 cents)

Hydro and solar will power MFCB to continue bucking the trend in the current weak market. With the massive volume in recent times, I suspect something big is brewing ... could be the LSS3 tender outcome or something else.

may be I am not so professional in share market. from my logic, Laos have nothing, they are really poor in economic. Maybank gave TP rm5.00 after estimating a boost of core net profit of possible usd8m for the sale of wet test energy in 4q19.
Also predicted some cost reduction of Don Sahong project construction of usd401m due to saving on lower interest rate which will be reflected in 4q19 results.Good for MFCB
