I really struggle to understand some folks in this forum….who see Genting as a competitor to Gloves or vice versa …..btw you can invest in both if you want ….no need to bash one counter against the other. If we look back in 2011 to 2018 average Gent price was 8.50 , also there were time it went higher than 10.00. These happen without Yokohama or RwLasVegas.

So genting comrades just have to ignore negative news on Yokohama, cause simple logic is any company will bid for for new project as part of marketing and future expansion which is an on going process.

Future revenue from RWLS will be in US dollars.

But as i mentioned before we need negative news spreaders for the collection of Gent share on discount. So keep cool, the game here is to be patient until economy fully open up

It's likely affected by Genting Singapore's share price, Singapore has recorded higher Covid cases this week. This is going to be the new normal for recovery counters, once sectors have opened up the risk of cases would also increase. Just need to manage our expectations and be patient.

Just to clarify, i think high infections rates won't matter if most are asymptomatic or with very mild symptoms. Every year in the UK for example 25k-50,0000 people die of flu. The numbers are huge yet people get on with it, the key is to learn to live with it and get fully vaccinated. Just reporting infection numbers in isolation does not mean a lot. Some political fool suggested that infections have to fall below 1000 to open interstate....what a load of crap!

Be patient, 12 months ago things were worse, no signs of when or whether vaccine will ever be available, but now we have at least 4 solid vaccines and booster shots to come, and teenagers are starting to get their jabs, it will take time for people to get used to this new normal. Testing kits will become cheaper and more efficient, testing process will be improved and that will ease travel restrictions. Medical advancement over time will give us improved testing that's also cheap that would no longer require tourists to quarantine upon arrival.

After the rout at Macao based casino stocks these past few days, today even "innocent" and goody goody Genting Singapore kana huge bashed down to a low of S$0.71 cts more than 5% down just like that ...... in a way, luckily it's a public holiday here and we are spared the wrath otherwise both Genting Malaysia as well as Genting Bhd would have received a similar if not worse bashing today !

Say if I hve 10million cash & other assets, I may get 50million overdraft/loans from total 8 banks if I am lucky.

Then I buy a cheaper stock, say A in tech sector cos tech sector made alot of money in US etc.

My seed money is my own cash of 10million, which I use to buy my stock of RM2.00 per share. I then used my 50million (short-term 10% interest loans from banks) to push up the price to say RM20.00 per share……then I wait patiently for words to go around that about how ‘fantastic investment’ my stock A is.

Then my dream would come true when many FF, retail investors started buying stock A at RM18 onwards (below highest say RM20). This is when I offload all my shares to these ‘innocent yet greedy’ people.

At the end, I earned upside from RM2 to RM18per share for my seee money of 10million. The rest I repay my 8 bankers plus only 10% interest pro-rated against 365 days. Easy way to con retail investors & fund managers? Yes or No? I don’t know :)
