JAKARTA (REUTERS) - Indonesia will require palm oil exporters to obtain permits for their shipments and ask producers to declare how much palm oil they plan to sell domestically, senior officials said on Tuesday (Jan 18), amid efforts to control soaring cooking oil prices.

Mr Wisnu added that producers who fail to conduct self-declaration on how much palm oil they are supplying locally in the next six months will not be given export papers, adding that the government will not impose a minimum requirement for domestic supply.

The single price policy for cooking oil - at 14,000 rupiah (S$1.30) a litre - will take effect from Wednesday, Mr Lutfi said, adding that it will only be available for household needs and small businesses.

There will be no growth in CPO production from both Malaysia and Indonesia at least for the next few years. Global demands for edible oil for food or industrial uses will continue to grow. Other competing edible oil (which are produced only one season a year in northern hemisphere ) are facing high risk of unfavorable weather amid climate change phenomenon . You just need a bad season for soya or canola in 2022 to see CPO sustains sky rocketed price level throughout the year .

There are just too much misinformation , misunderstanding and misjudgment on CPO sector, largely the work of IBs. Public have been constantly told that price unsustainable ever since CPO reached $3,000 in 2020! Many cited cyclical nature of CPO as reason of not liking this sector . But then which sector is not cyclical? The whole economy is cyclical too.

It feels like 2000 dot com bust all over again? IF we repeat the dot com bust process we gonna have a technical rebound soon to trap more tech bulls then a brutal sell off wave to wipe out all. What would be the lowest TP for Insas in a bust with a strong balance sheet? Me very curious mah...

West Coast Expressway expected to complete by year 2022 except a 10Km known as section 7B which is expected to be completed by June 2024.
So just buy some WCEHB when it is at 52 weeks low.

Forward PE 5.5 based on last Q. But what makes me LOL so bad is the liquid asset of Insas is already worth around 1 buck after paying debt. ahahahah bursa boleh, Malaysia boleh.

we shouldn't fall into this trap.

Insas has always moved in this 'disappointing' fashion. You should be very familiar with this sslee, since you've been trying to talk up this counter for years now.
