BERJAYA CORPORATION BERHAD ANNOUNCEMENT TO BURSA MALAYSIA SECURITIES BERHAD (“BURSA SECURITIES”) DISPOSALS OF SHARES IN STEMLIFE BERHAD (“STEMLIFE”) (Announcement pursuant to Chapter 9.19 (26) of Bursa Securities Main Market Listing Requirements) The Board of Directors of Berjaya Corporation Berhad (“BCorp”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Juara Sejati Sdn Bhd, had disposed in the open market during the period from 3 to 8 December 2015, a total of about 13.41 million ordinary shares of RM0.10 each representing 5.42% stake in Stemlife for a total cash consideration of about RM5.97 million or an average price of RM0.45 per share (“Shares Disposal”). As a result of the Shares Disposal, the BCorp Group’s total equity interest in Stemlife has reduced from 10.05% to 4.63% comprising 11.45 million Stemlife shares. The Stemlife shares pursuant to the Shares Disposal were disposed in the open market at the then prevailing market prices. The BCorp Group’s total carrying value of the Stemlife shares as at 31 October 2015 in respect of the Shares Disposal is about RM5.37 million or an average of RM0.40 per Stemlife share. The cash proceeds arising from the Shares Disposal were/will be utilised for working capital of the BCorp Group. The Shares Disposal has no effect on the issued and paid-up share capital as well as the major shareholders’ shareholdings in BCorp. The Shares Disposal has no material effect on the consolidated net equity funds of BCorp for the current financial year ending 30 April 2016. The Shares Disposal resulted in a net group gain of about RM3.52 million. The Shares Disposal enabled the BCorp Group to realize the capital gain on its investment in Stemlife. The Shares Disposal is not subject to the approvals of the shareholders of BCorp or any relevant authorities. None of the Directors and major shareholder and/or persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Shares Disposal. The Board of Directors of BCorp is of the opinion that the Shares Disposal is in the best interest of the BCorp Group. The highest percentage ratio applicable to the Shares Disposal pursuant to paragraph 10.02(g) of the Bursa Securities Main Market Listing Requirements is 0.09%. This Announcement is dated 9 December 2015.
hahaha... did anyone of you here see something on the Stemlife share disposal? The share were sold at 45 sen ( about the highest price for this year ) That's a good sign, we now know when Mr Market wants a high price he could just do it. Let's wait for the good day for BjC.
Depend the 1st qtr 2016 finacial result, any project results good with return , any special rewards from bjcorp,any proposal that can benefited , u only expected nothing or tankuku until VT decided to push up!
This is cycle. Today buy 0.355, tomorrow sell back 0.355, but people queue buy at 0.35. People bought at 0.35, tomorrow queue sell back 0.35, but people queue buy at 0.345.... This is a infinite loop.
consumer stock not good when economic no good. But is ok, next year i buy in more when share drop below 30c, 20c and 10c. kikiki, ready my bullet first.
ivan, u still very new in market. old fox stock, if u want to buy, u need to study the history first. if u are old like 70, then better u dont touch. sure u no so long time to wait it up back. i forsee may need 10 to 20 years.
judging from the current market sentiment and the next 2-3 months dow jone forecasted movement, I would be surprise if the supporting level of rm0.30 can't be collapsed .....soon....very soon!
