@ Ricky, the lottery is already operational in 2016. BJ must account for it in 2017. Recognition should be based on quarterly just like bjauto, bjtoto etc. That is the requirement for a listed company. Whether BJ is making profit or not, is another matter. But based on the news, vietlott is doing very well. And they will be launching more games and outlet soon.

last year Agm (oct), robin tan already mention the revenue/profit from vietlott wont recognize within 12 month. hope i am wrong.

Robin never said won't recognize revenue/ profit within 12 mths,but expect contributions will be significant after 12 mths.

Its impossible that any government would allow any company not to recognize their profit/revenue. Reason why vietnam allowing these lottery is mainly to get more tax revenue. If BJ is not going to recognize the profit/ revenue, means less tax revenue. Their accounting report would be in a mess too.

Vietlott just an associate company to Bjcorp, no need to consolidate its FS. Only recognise dividend received (if any)

BJCorp has an agreement with Vietlott to run a computerised lottery business in Vietnam exclusively for 18 years starting from their launch date in July 2016.

Berjaya GTI was incorporated as a joint stock company to own, invest in and setup, and manage the computerised lottery business. Vietlott owns 49% of Berjaya GTI with Berjaya Lottery Vietnam Limited owning the balance of 51%.

BLV is 80% and 20% owned by BJCorp and BJToto respectively.

Why is there confusion about financial reporting? What is normally done? That is what we expect.
