after privitisation....no more loop sided contracts, and the union can go to hell because the staffs are too abundance ...many will be fired...exceeding the optimum requirement

but who cares? what matter is ...we will make profit...but need a very very big consortium to buy mas

PAC will not investigate Malaysia Airlines
CIMB Daybreak - 05 March 2014

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will not be investigating the RM1.17bn losses suffered by Malaysia Airlines (MAS), said PAC chairman, Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed. Nur Jazlan, who believed that the losses were due to poor management, said the national carrier's board of directors and its majority shareholder, Khazanah Nasional Bhd, should be answerable to the public. "The losses should not happen as the airline is run by highly paid world-class professionals, has a great board of directors with vast knowledge of the industry and is backed by Khazanah," he said. Speaking to reporters after chairing the PAC meeting here yesterday, Nur Jazlan said: "They need to explain why they have failed to come up with a rescue plan as it is costing the government heavily with bailouts." He questioned why MAS has a difficulty to be turned around. (BT)

Good news?.. It's like they have not even found the sickness and they can't give the medicine. I will wait another 3 quarters before buying. Obviously MAS , has not rescue plan in place. Bleed , continue to bleed and waste tax payers money

Khazanah's mohktar said, can turnaround quickly if yield n productivity r improved. But unfair contracts with suppliers, staff unions and excess must be tackled according to many experts haha

MAS can turn around if review all top people's salary and allowance and remove those redundant top level people and those cr..... parked there. Bet you all very high pay....Has already done much to reduce cost else can reduce????

If I am not wrong, S'pore Airlines C.E.O is a Malaysian...and doing very well churning profits for S'pore Airlines.
Their Profit before tax for (for 9 mths) 2012/2013 was SGD440.7 million and 2013/2014 was SGD460.8 million.(Unaudited). MAS did the other way round to be different ?

mas must retrench the surplus staff... review the pay n benefits, shorten the reporting line with simplier title etc to make it leaner as a competitive airlined
