Before profit is realized, it remains on paper, good for viewing and “shiok sendiri” only. Worst still, it can fly with the wind over night. Nevertheless I choose to “shiok sendiri” by letting the winner to run by itself. Anything below RM10, you will not get MPI from me.

At the current price the prospective PE ratio is around 9. Median PE for tech sector in upcycle is 13. This is my view. You decide.

I think both unisem and mpi qualify for a simple prospective PE valuation. Unisem's prospective eps is abt 18 sen while mpi's is abt 110 sen. Unisem is worth a PE ratio of 12 while Mpi, due to its brand name, should be worth a PE ratio of abt 15. Based on the above figures unisem should have a fair value of abt RM2.16 while Mpi's fair value shd be abt RM16.50. This is my calculation. You decide. You can check all the other measurements such as cash flow, ROE etc then please tell me politely if I'm wrong. Thank you.
