It is logical that if the global stock market meltdown continues a few more days then all stocks world wide will fall in price further but if the meltdown did not continue (like today) then it may not drop below RM30.00. im holding on to my batmans. judged from the price movements, this counter is manipulated by the syndicates... my theory is they are taking advantage of epf exit to batter and accumulate the stock and exit during the cny or before ge or when the q4 result is out which should be above expectation... they should be holding a sizeable position by now... price should shoot up soon to break $40

BAT said it made the provision for impairment of prepaid excise duties of RM21 million during the quarter, which pushed its operating expenses to RM118.2 million from RM83.33 million a year ago. It said the sum is pending refund from the Royal Malaysian Customs, but it decided to be prudent by recording the provision as Customs has yet to decide on the refund.

"Currently, the group is actively engaging RMC to obtain the refund," it said. The pending excise duties refund were related to unused tax stamps and tax stamps wastages encountered during the manufacturing process.
