I dont know...so i keep my eye on this counter...lol...hahaha...
tobacco market is very different from 4 years ago. illicit cigarettes are eating into its profit in major way. profit of BAT will continue to drop unless there's change in gov policy/ intervention ...
I have no idea...you might able to believe a man named Archimedes who said: Give me a fulcrum, I can leveraging the Earth with the formula F1· L1=F2·L2 I have no formula but my concept more easier...wouldnt ask for trouble and mess up myself with the coordination problem just because of the sunk cost....
If BAT too richly valued how abt Nestle at RM 100 why cheap at PE 40?
Jon Choivo It was too richly valued for a long time anyway, due to high div payouts.
Im waiting at 20. May never reach, but if it reach there, i think time for me to go in.
IBestDividend This giant company over 100 years in Malaysia. Share price drop back to year of 2000. Very very bad :-( 11/01/2018 21:25 12/01/2018 12:01
In any event, nestle do deserve a higher valuation. As it is doing business the true, fair and ethical way. Or at least more than BAT.
For BAT to succeed, will give more people lung cancer. It relies on the addiction of their current customers on the thing that kills them in order to make money.
Society dont want BAT to make money, lawmakers dont like BAT, even the smokers dont like BAT, but because they cannot tahan.
You don't see lawmakers rushing to put 100% tariff/tax on nestle products, because it is in general good for you.

They do encourage moderate and responsible smoking lah..definitely not killing smokers A lot of high positioned corporate people also smoke 4 to 5 cigarettes a day. Effective to relieve work stress. Anything below 35 is a good buy
They only do that, because they are forced to do so. Every good thing they do, is only because it was forced upon them.
Having said that, they are also in the double whammy of stupid laws increasing cigarette duties. Which really only increase the spread of illegal ones.
I would not pay more than 10 P/E for this company.
