Positive this Q, good job! If next Q still positive, the promised dividend seems achievable. Anyhow, did someone said his son decision on Iceland hotel was good buy, then why hotels & Resorts P&L number or so ugly Mr CFO??
Bjland should just privatised. Talk about HSR when they never got the expertise and partnering Sinohydro, 1 of the smaller company from China that keen on the project. Be frank, what are the odds ? If they could partner a bigger proven company like China Railway, then they might stand a slightly higher chance. Or else why bother to waste time. their golden era seems to have gone with VT.
BLand bid HSR based on their technical know who (direct related to Sultan Johor). They just nominated Puteri Johor as BCorp Chairperson. The close bonding between them could be the key to win the bid. Puteri Johor also is Chairperson of BAsset, which their land could be best place for HSR station is.
2.5 million shares, very hard to tell which direction VT (despite now being the minority shareholder on paper) will be going into. YTL has flied high, hopefully BJLand will follow.

I think the above number is incorrect, BJCorp already owns 3,984,338,496 shares of BJLand. Meanwhile, VT is owning 308,449,276 personally. The total of shares owned by BJCorp and VT already exceeds 4.29 billion shares, leaving around 700 million of shares floating around.
You need to wait for the next monthly announcement on PUBLIC SHAREHOLDINGS SPREAD

The Board of Directors and the Management of BLand will take necessary measures and avenues to rectify the shortfall of the Public Spread by 30 September 2023.
Err.... Actually, VT no longer the majority shareholder of bjcorp while a higher offer to privatise bjland will benefit him the most, he's the second largest shareholder of bjland after bjcorp
From the announcement on 02-April, declare that VT no longer majority shareholder of bjcorp, at the same time also declare that he is no longer major shareholder for BjLand. This have segregate VT and Bjcorp as combine interest. If this segregation could be accepted by SC, the public spread issue become 0.8% only, as Bjcorp hold at 80.8% as at 30-March-2023.
