Another big name in the board is Abang Johari's son (the premier only has a son and a daughter). https://www.nst.com.my/business/2023/08/941409/sarawak-premiers-son-abang-abdillah-joins-berjaya-land-board. Not sure what significant role will he play that positively contribute to Berjaya Land development. My imagination may stretch too far: why not grant Berjaya the online numbering license in Sarawak. The far more secular and progressive state government will welcome any income to fund its infrastructure projects.

An initial plan to develop the HSR was suspended in 2018 and later terminated in 2021, resulting in Malaysia paying RM320.27 million to Singapore as compensation for costs incurred for the development of the HSR project, and in relation to the extension of suspension of project.

The project’s revitalisation will “foster a new era of connectivity”, said Berjaya Corp founder and advisor Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun on Tuesday.

Tan said he is confident that Berjaya Rail can play a leading role in shaping the future of the rail industry.

“This interconnectedness will not only stimulate economic growth and tourism for Malaysia but also cultivate cultural exchanges and enrich people’s lives by reducing travel time and enhancing accessibility,” he said.

Berjaya Rail, which is led by its chief executive officer Farizul Baharom, will focus on five strategic areas, namely advancing HSR development, delivering integrated rail solutions, driving transit oriented development (TOD)/transit adjacent development (TAD), elevating user experience and harnessing synergistic partnerships.

Pity bjland! Bjland wants fund from big investors ( which can move up / down share price) and small minority investors (which can indicate trust) .With Hsr project, but already downgraded interest by created BjRail. All cake inside bjRail. But somehow maybe side land development or jobs can benefits bjland. Better estimate how much revenue and profits, dividend periodically can goes to bjland more realistic. No tipu investors when other same bidder companies already moved up market price.

It's well known somethings need to be done on or before 30Sept to meet listing requirements. All the best assets park here but undervalue now due to organisation structures. Compressed spring will have to be released. All my others heavy loaded stocks above 100% now except this VT group. ( thanks for waiting ). Cheers ! But please dont all in, diversify please !
