However, this crack spread would stay high as long war is there and no new refinery is build. Normally, it's aint that easy to build one and very costly. Its a norm in Ong where they share the profit to investor more rather than expanding due to costing. I don't think anyone would want to build now as EV is also coming up. It's a tug and war game la! Anyway enjoy the ride while we can!

WHY HENGYUAN GOT SELL DOWN IN AN AGGRESSIVE MANNER ?

While i cannot give you a definite answer, i can give you a possible explanation of scenario.

Hengyuan cw22 issued by CIMB IB will be matured on 30 May 2022 (monday)
The settlement price against the call warrant exercise price will be based on 5 day VWAP volume weighted average price model.

The 5 days are
24 May 2022 (Tuesday)
25 wednesday
26 thursday
27 friday ( cw22 suspend trading)
30 monday

There will be high volume and very volatile trading if banker want to depress the settlement price in order to pay out lesser.

While hengyuan fundamental remain intact, crack margin continue to be at the high side, mothershare outlook will be good as long as you are investing in what you are able to hold, and not playing on contra.

Contra will only be helping banker to create more volume at the lower price which will help them lower settlement price

The expected QR release for HENGYUAN could be at 31 may 2022 (tuesday). So plan your trade carefully
