Crack spread for Q4 2021 is averaging USD10.85.
The average Brent crude oil price is = USD77.90.

Crack spread for Q1 2022 is averaging USD13.86.
The average Brent crude oil price is = USD100.68.

Simple math, this quarter result should be much better than last quarter EPS of around 59.93sen. Inventory gain should be able to offset loss in derivative hedge.

Logically Q1 2022 result should be better than Q4 result. Similarly Q2 2022 will be a lot better than Q1 2022.
Logically there should not be negative surprises in Q1 2022 result to be announced this week.
However you never know. lets wait and see.

We need a crack spread of USD20 per BBL is good enough.
The most important, there is no derivative financial liabilities losses in Q2 2022.

C22 expired on 31 May 2022.
That mean after expired date CIMB will do a cash settlemeny at ( Five (5) Day VWAP minus 4.75)/ 5.
So if the Five (5) Day VWAP preceeding the expire day of 31/5/2022 is RM 7 then the payment per 1 (one) unts of C22 is (7- 4.75)/ 5 = RM 0.45

If the Five (5) Day VWAP is RM 5 then the payment is (5 - 4.75) /5 = RM 0.05 per 1 units of C22.

And if the Five (5) Day VWAP is below RM 4.75 then CIMB pay you ZERO.

IB will use the money they had collected from selling warrant to short the mother share, so those "smut" investors who chase high on warrants are like gongkia , but cruel fact is they always think they are smuter and can sell to other ppl for higher price.
