Nato and Ukraine already said War wont end soon !! Today s Star article bullish on Refineries due to China shutdown. KYY quietly bought HYuan without writing at i3, and then wrote that should have sold. Now asking people to cut loss, possibly for him to average down. Why should investors sell when price is already so low ? Fundamentals will prevail at the end. SsLee wrote that HY do hedging on Crude and Refined Oil to minimize fluctuations in prices and thus, the Derivative loss in Q1 will be lesser in Q2. Hope is impt as it is what kept prisoners alive during WW2 amid hardships in POW camps!! Still believe HY is undervalued as Crack Spread is still above USD 20.!! Cost of production is only USD 2/!!

I think, I said for HY gross profit is sell volume X realised crack spread.

As of the NPAT your guess is as good as mine but my bet is on the record never see before high crack spread/refining margin and I speculate the high crack spread should last very long unlike the 2017/2018 when the fuel shortage is because of plants shutdown for maintenance in Asean and Hurricane Harvey forced refinery shut down in Amerika.

So remember to come back end Aug to see the crack spread 3.0 fireworks show

betting commodities related counters like Hy and Petron one must note that it will be very volatile. If crack spread in Aug 2022 remains around USD 20, you wound not get them at current price in Aug. If crack spread in Aug 2022 is below USD 5, then you may get HY below current price.
