Welcome guys

A simple yardstick to value Jtiasa is by Earnings since it has shown the fastest growth among palm oil shares

Like this
Last qtr result Jtiasa earns 6.9 sen

This qtr result which is next month should be about 6 sen more or less plus a dividend thrown in

So if we use 6.9 sen profit per qtr as a benchmark

Then annualised will be

6.9 x 4

= 27.6 sen profit

Now very simplistic valuation

If p/e is 10
Then Jtiasa should be worth Rm2.76

If people are bullish and assign P/E 15 for jtiasa then it will be Rm4.14

But if people are cautious and only give a conservative 5 times earnings than Jtiasa will be Rm1.38

So at whatever p/e people assign for Jtiasa any price below Rm1.00 is considered a bargain

Calvin, your valuation model is exaggerated and it might only happen if CPO price trades above RM 6k per ton. Max 2.40 to trade on par with SOP & TAAN in current valuation.

At current price TAANN forward P/E is 6.13

If we take 6.13 P/E then Jtiasa should trade at Rm1.69

Sound good to use TAANN as reference.
$1.69 got 69% upside. It is superd attractive and resistant for market crash later

calvintaneng

PBA CURRENT P/E IS 5.67

https://www.bursamalaysia.com/bm/market_information/announcements/company_announcement/announcement_details?ann_id=3398547

if we benchmark Jtiasa at current 5.67 P/E like Pba

THEN JTIASA WILL BE WORTH RM1.56

SO NO MATTER HOW YOU COMPARE LEFT OR RIGHT

JTIASA CURRENT FORWARD P/E OF 3.6 IS THE LOWEST

FOR THIS REASON JTIASA IS VERY UNDERVALUE

Sure, JTiasa is very undervalued by almost every tangible measure eps, ebita, nta, free cashflow etc. But it is the intangibles that keep its value down - past management practices including poor dividend record, investor relations and the like. It no longer has any significant institutional shareholders, not even EPF, which tells you something. Investors with long memories can tell you about the private placement in 2013 which raised RM331 million, the glowing picture painted and the subsequent tanking of the share price the next 10 years due in part to a poor timber market. Big investors do not forget something like that in a hurry. JTiasa needs to clean up that history; better interim dividends this coming quarter will help. The 20% dividend payout is only a guide and much higher dividends in line with improved performance will be one smart move. Also, an orchestrated road show to the investing community to highlight its attractiveness. Not sure if its IB is still CIMB.

As I say before if not for the significient improvement in FFB production, paring down of borrowing and start paying dividend, I would not have invested in Jayatiasa

Correct Rm3.00 possible for Jtiasa

But at that price Jtiasa still below historic high above Rm3.40

With Timber converted to palmoil plus now Fcpo at such high Rm3900

Jtiasa, Thplant, Tsh all with massive oil palm lands will do extremely well

We are talking about 80% to 100% gross profit

Where on earth and what business can offer such exceptional profit margins?

Okok OK..

1st tp $1.69 refer to Taann
Final target $3.40 refer to historical. High when uncle YY touring JTIASA oil palm by Helicopter?

calvintaneng

53,884 posts

Posted by calvintaneng > 2024-01-19 12:39 | Report Abuse

Yes when Uncle Koon posted buy call for Jtiasa at Rm2.40 in year 2014 he told all he went up in a helicopter to survey Jtiasa vast lands in Sarawak

Jtiasa went up to Rm2.70 then

Now Jtiasa fundamental much much better

From over Rm1 billions debt to almost cash rich soon

2. From timber it SWITCHED TO OIL PALMS NOW 206,000 ACRES
BIGGER THAN SPORE TOTAL LAND MASS OF 180,000 ACRES

AT THAT TIME CPO WAS RM3K BELOW
NOW CPO ALMOST RM4000

So after Rm1.69 target it should cross Rm2 to Rm3

Only now you see

Fong Siling aka ColdEye already saw potential of Jtiasa several years ago

He at first bought a very few thousand jtiasa shares

Then he increased his shareholdings to 5 millions

Latest AR (Annual Report) shows he again doubled his investments in Jtiasa from 5 million to 10 million Jtiasa shares

At today closing price of Rm1.05 that means Cold Eye value in Jtiasa is a cool Rm10.5 Millions

The Q3 and Q4 FFB production are the same.
So, the coming QR shld be eps. 6.9c as well if not better!

Posted by StartOfTheBull > 2024-01-20 14:15 | Report Abuse

Q4 average selling price of oil palm produce is lower than Q3. Nevertheless, higher or lower gross profit for Q4 is also depends on the quantity the company sold in that quarter.
