i would agree with probability on most of his point except for number 5. Sime Darby spent near to RM800 million a year on fertiliser. Also on the decomposing of dead trees, it is suspected that is where the ganoderma disease come from. Palm oil use to burn all the dead palm and this somehow kill the bacteria. For the last 2 decade due to practice of sustainable palm oil, burning has been banned. Nowadays the ganoderma disease has become a serious problem that it wipe out hectares of palm oil and there is no cure at the moment.

but all this will lead to less palm oil produceand hence it should drive up the palm oil price. It is who can produce more yield and hence can reap the benefit. Just hope that the disease don't wipe off the entire palm oil industry like what happen few decade ago on rubber trees or recently on malaysia papaya and banana industry.

If you mange to passby Sime Darby estate in Ayer Tawar, Perak, you will see most trees are lack of fertiliser. We never hear any complaint of ganoderma from small planters. Judge yourself.

2016 ttl ffb is 956413 compare to 2015 ffb 814548 ==> 117.4% (up)
2016 dec ffb is 70167 compare to 2015 dec ffb 65391 ==>107.3% (up)
2016 jan ffb is 52753 , 2017 jan ffb expected to be lower than 70k

coming quarterly report will be out sometimes in Febrebuary,expected to be better than last quarter;therefore it is no need to be too much of farts about this or that.
