Like it or not, the stock market nowadays has become very unpredictable and not understandable anymore. When a company reports good profits, it does not guarantee the SP will move up. Similarly, the SP may not go down much when the company reports losses.

Just look at some of the steel companies, they are reporting very decent profits but their SPs could be trading at very low PE of < 5 or even 2 like the Prestar.
