Telekom's earning performance has been declining in last five years, whereby its earning per share overall decreased from 22.9 sen to 4.1 sen. Losses reported in 2018 was due to high impairment losses and high operating costs.

Based on comparison of 6 major telecommunications services providers in Malaysia, it is found that TELEKOM is one of the TOP 3 telecommunications counters worthy to invest in. TELEKOM stands out in performance indicators such as having relatively low P/E ratio (20). However, its cost-to-income ratio (67827%) is very high compared to other counters. Improvement on this area is needed to increased profitability.

President Trump has warned the US is "targeting" 52 Iranian sites and will strike "very fast and very hard" if Tehran attacks Americans or US assets.

The president's remarks followed the US assassination of Qasem Soleimani, a top Iranian general, in a drone strike.

Soleimani's killing was a major escalation between the two nations, and Iran vowed to take "severe revenge".

Writing on Twitter, Mr Trump accused Iran of "talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets".

He said the US had identified 52 Iranian sites, some "at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture", and warned they would be "HIT VERY FAST AND HARD" if Tehran struck at the US.

Not to mention, highly competitively priced and superior product.
TM should be able to provide 300Mbps speed with unlimited data and free call for only RM50 per month. But they are cheating the customer. Bengali kondeh is warming his chair.

This is called staying ahead in competitive market. It is all about commercialisation and being top in the field.Where there's a will there's a way, since TM is a pioneer in this industry. It is maximising subscriber base. Maxis do not offer because they are the cheapest at the moment and best, They are enjoying the gravy until disruption happens.

Thank you for your sincerity DickyMe but I am pretty sure your ideas will further destroy any ISP (internet service provider). TM is slowly recovering and thanks to 5G, TM has attained a fresh vigour. I am sure TM will keep up this momentum because TM is going to be a 5G pioneer in Malaysia.

It is not surprising that the laidbacks get the pioneering project. Implementing and maintaining operation are two different things.TM is well known to suck at maintenance and customer service also pricey lame product.

elekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) earlier announced that we have detected a fault on the Asia Submarine Cable Express (ASE) system off Singapore, which affected our Cahaya Malaysia submarine cable linking Malaysia to North Asia and the United States. ASE consists of 6 fiber pairs of which TM owns 2 fiber pairs, named as Cahaya Malaysia.

We would like to reiterate that these cable faults have caused international link outages which affected the browsing experience of not just Internet customers of TM, but also other Internet users in Malaysia and in the region as well. This is as most of the regional traffic would have to pass the affected submarine cable systems.

During this period, Internet users may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing and high latency while accessing contents hosted in the United States (US), North Asia and Europe via the affected cables. However, we wish to note that our IPTV service, HyppTV is not affected by the outages as the service utilises TM's domestic backhaul network.

To be sure, the reform has pushed the companies to become leaner. Telekom cut costs by dismissing workers, renegotiating contracts and delaying capital spending. UBS Group AG analyst expects its net income to rise to RM412 million in the fourth quarter, which would be the biggest since 2011, from 261.3 million in the previous period.

TM never learn. burning all the cash with 4G deployment and paying huge amount to celcom on domestic roaming (RM 200mil in 2018 annual report, more than the revenue itself). now pushing hard on 5G Stand Alone (SA) network that will not share any network asset with their existing 4G.. fxxk.. existing 4G sucks, bottleneck all the time. and they will just throw it away for 5G, that technically more challenging and will sucks all their cash reserve. hundred of 1000 node B need to be deployed due to small cell radius. million of lastmile fiber need to be pulled to each node B. future is bleak for their wireless quest. should stick to fiber broadband.
