Why TM monopoly? because all the infrastructure is still under TM ma. All other operator is renting from them. The 25% reduction is referring to fixed broadband and not mobile broadband. I'm one that does not have a fixex broadband because i think the price is too expensive. I'm using mobile broadband. Furthermore, all telco like to bundle in the useless things and those useless paytv that i don't use. So if it really cheaper 25%, then I'm one of the potential customer and also there are more ppl jumping from other provider to TM. It really depends on what is TM going to offer. I just hope they offer speed and cheaper price while reomove all the unnecessary freebie which in reality is not free.

Epf is supporting TM for now to prevent a massive drop in the klci.

TM's market cap is already lower than F&N, Top Glove and possibly LC Titan. I'm pretty sure TM will be bumped out of klci index in the next review. Let's see if epf still supports it then.

yaloh....drop about 45% but business fundamental no change ma. Except for the proposed 25% reduction in fixed broadband. That also the 25% don't affect across the board. It might only affect 50& of the business and with the reduction, new revenue opportunity arises ma like new sign up. So i think the drop is abit overdo la......that why i go hood her now loh....

Also i hope minister gobind read the rakyat message by asking telco to stop bundling all the things that we don't need. Whoever wants, can add.....like airasia model where they sell u flight ticket oni but if u want choose seat, u pay, u want food, u pay, u want quiet zone, u pay. Telco should offer the same.

@titus agree with u, cons is earning is lowered. good things is more subscriber and if manage well should generate profit too since TM will sacked many useless top management with super high pay. in long run this revamp of structure is good. Lastly TM owns 90% of the infrastructure in msia. other telco wanna come in also have to rent from TM. dominance is still there. Like maxis sell home fiber but operator still TM. U-mobile rent the infrastructure from Maxis to operate their line.

Enough with the price decrease more new subscribers,tm will be good talk pls.
GobindSinghDeo did say he want price decrease,speed upgrade and he also say he wanna make internet a basic human right,right?Then tm will need more working capital money to upgrade speed,change wire build communication tower,expand into rural area and etc.Luckily epf stop buying already or else next year our epf dividend doom!

@janice for your info TM tele line box is already there. its depends they wanna release the speed or not. additional cost is very minimum as they can set the speed in their system and go to the box manually to connect the fiber.
