It projected MAHB's funds from operations/debt will deteriorate to 8.0%-8.5% from initial expectations of 9.5%-10.0% for 2015. However, Moody's said ISG raised most of its debt during the global financial crisis, resulting in high interest rates. MAHB may take advantage of the currently low interest rate environment and better credit quality relative to ISG to refinance the airports debt.
Moody's said it does not expect ISG to be profitable within the next 12-15 months. (Malaysian Insider)

Looking at their quarterly results shows losses and KLIA2 high maintenance cost, with many road repairs. KLIA2 runaway so bumpy, or the bumpiest when take off... @@....and the share increase so much ... sentiment play is very strong then fundamentals.. kudos

All the analysts are pessimistic on Airport because of a myriad of factors. While understandable, the chart tells a very different story.

At this point, I believe that all the negative factors have already been priced in.

End of the day, there may be many airline companies, but only 1 airport monopoly.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 4): AirAsia Bhd and Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) (formerly known as Malaysian Airline System Bhd) today won their appeal over the RM10 million fine imposed on each of the companies by Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC).
The tribunal has unanimously set aside the RM10 million fine imposed by MyCC on both the airlines. In the decision today, the tribunal's chairperson Datuk Hasnah Mohamed Hashim said fines that have been paid shall be refunded.

My visitors alway get confused about KLIA2 and KLIA. If you ask anybody that came to Malaysia via KLIA2, they will say they came via KLIA and they will not mentioned KLIA2. As a result, they compare KLIA2 with other full service International Airport and they have perception that Malaysian International airport is the second worst international airport after Jakarta. All this because they see KLIA2 as KLIA and not LCCT.

Seems TF very smart which eventually will benefit to Malaysia Airport. The problem with Malaysia Airport, they always making decision based on thier convenient but not for their customers or users. The reason why they still making money because of airlines and not because of their services which really need to improved especially after the new CEO.

Since the Turkey Airport owned by Malaysia Airport and such incident almost impossible to claim from insurance, will MAHB able to limit their losses this quarter?

Since almost impossible for them to declare profit for this quater, I hope the MAHB losses not more than 20% and hope it can recover them in the next following quarter.
