(Petaling 13th) Malaysia Federation of iron and steel industry (MISIF) predicted that steel industry this year or would recover in 2017 under current challenging economic conditions, prospects will become even better.

Malaysia iron and steel industry Federation Chairman Datuk Su Tian said: "the steel industry from 2015 onwards ' uphill ', we see an upward trend. ”

He pointed out that ASEAN's current demand for steel has been very positive, and added that an annual demand of between 5% and 6%.

He also revealed that cut steel production in China, and the Chinese Government have cut 45 million tons of excess capacity, the price of steel has recovered.

When asked when prospects in the field of iron and steel, Su Tian said: "the storm, the worst is over. ”

He is today the 12th Malaysia steel industry status and prospect of meeting, comments.

Su Tian pointed out that steel prices in the third quarter of 2016 has normalized, steel prices fell sharply compared to last year's spectacle.

He believed that steel prices will remain normal during the final quarter of the year 2017 or there is an upward trend.

At present, the steel price is between 1800 to 1950 ringgit a tonne, while iron ore (iron ore) price per dry metric tons for $ 56 (236 million).

CRC in China up 12.73% since 15/7
HRC in China up 4.79% at the same time

The gap is widened up, so do the margin.

many people confusing.. Mycron or CSC steel ?
CSC steel promoted by few experts in forum recently. No doubt SCS steel has handsome results and good insight. However, I m looking at ratio- profitability , liquidity , growth.. MyCron has best among and huge improvement compare with previous year.
I m very firm and sure with my decision - MYCRON only choice

when you calculate the next qtr EPS after removing the impairment cost that took place last qtr...its very easy to see...

added with the bonus effects from the rising Spread between HRC & CRC

From previous peak of 0.58 to 0.45, then up to 1.01, sequently down to 0.82. Now move back to above 0.92, what's next? My near term TP is RM1.12, longer term is RM1.50
