JN88 paying less debt but it ends up paying more income tax. It is good to use leverage to finance business but not too much. You may be good at math but you are not good at business based on your comment.

AA is venturing in to epayment biz with the new set up unit bigpay n subsequently in to micro/consumer financing like alipay or wechatpay in China.
They would need ample funding for such biz model.

Anyone knows how to contact cimb research team? Really disappointed their tp for AA at 2.20. I trust them and wait for 2.2...but the price keep up and up..end up didn't own any..their research really tak boleh pakai... Wednesday I must in. I guess this team...otak masuk air. Shit

@ John there's a lot of companies associated with cimb.
Cimb-principal held more the 5 million unit on August.
After cimb split with principal, they left AirAsia @ 2.30-2.60 which had made them some losses

Kenanga & rhb consume apart of it.

Do not mistake year end window dressing for fair market value.
In October AA did touch 2.30
We are now in recession. If you are not careful, you could be left out in the sun when window dressing stops. Only Malaysia in Asia is up.

pBlue, in the worst year and weaker quarter, Airasia still make RM300m operating profit when oil was much higher.

Do not mistake there are still companies making money and expand during recession. Not all the stock's share price drop during recession.

Yes, there are risk. But we can see Q4 is still very good. And upcoming Q1 still good. Management guidance also confirm that.

Malindo losses 500m??? (correct me if i am wrong). MAS? i bet even worse. I won't be surprised to see Malindo further shrink or disappear in 2019. Competition wise Airasia has been doing great!!!

Also, when recession comes, cash is king. Airasia just happened to be the (second) richest cash king in Bursa.

TF buy 100 new planes to get a bargain price then sell old plan and 4 new plane. With profit of 186 million + cash flow (get cash in hand ) and pay the new plane latter ! Comment said airlines but no own plane is incorrect. Please do ur homework

I now expecting few more things to come:
1) MAVCOM unable to justify the usage of incremental PSC to maintain LOCAL airports. MOT step in to naturalise the PSC, AirAsia fare price will be more competitive and generate higher profit margin.
2) More air fleets monetisation
3) Newer version of airfleets for high frequency and profitable routes estimating currently increase 30 percent for same flight.
4) Stabilised oil supply or lower cost for hedging at least coming 1-2 years.
5) Completion of internal organisation and implementing captial repayment scheme or share buyback to boost the valuation of AAGB.

Seem the above all in pipeline.
