WTI crude oil price at USD 42 / barrel now.

Comparing to USD 75 / barrel in early Oct.

It is definitely a good buy for airline stock, especially AirAsia which just sold its Aircraft with the dividend potential again...

Budahsaham, for sharing, it is clearly stated in the 24 December 2018 announcement with the terms of leasing back. You can go and study, actually quite details and also all the proforma effect. To me, whether it is self owned or leased from investors, still need to pay Instalment or Rental. The only difference is immediately monetised with current present value. With this market, the cash can do many much thing.

For investor who bought the planes, then can enjoy stable rental income (US currently bearing low interest if compared to those developing country). AA want cash, Investor want long term stable rental income, Airbus want sale, Consumers want cheaper pricing of air fare.

Frankly speaking, AA moved ahead a lots if compared to other Malaysian companies. Now holding whole pile of cash plus almost zero gearing very soon. In terms of flexibility to deal with challenging environment, I think AA is bulletproof already. Nice move and confident in bear market as well.
