hahaha. shark so kind buy above 2.8 sell 2.45 for big discount. if can down to 2.45, top up kau kau lo. 2.45-0.9=1.55 very attractive price. hopefully can get.
last time announced 0.4 dividend on 29/11/2018, share price never go below 29/11 closing price before entitle date. see this time how is it. closing before SD0.9 are 2.63.
CIMB analyst only look at AA airline business and ignore the rest which are under cooking now. For example the teleport, contributed 38m profit from a loss this latest quarter which CIMB tried to brush it off. Teleport will continue to do well. And also other E business. CIMB valuation of 1.56 per share is based on current airline business and the scenarios of deteriorating business conditions and sky rocketing fuel prices and continue increase of expenses. I wouldnt say he us entirely wrong. But isnt this what TF is doing foreseeing a tough business environment and diversifying away? Its called foresight and act before everythg turn upside. Well, or course those other business will not just turn profitable in near term. But bear in mind, when the E platform is ready to take off, valuation will come in and the revaluation will come in way before actual profits. It happen to lots of E company. So its better one analyse and invest wisely and not just look at the next few quarters.
By the CIMB analyst still insist on his valuation of 1.56. Just curious is it after ex dividend or befor? If its based on before then he is saying AA IS VALUED at 1.56-0.90= 0.66! Wow!!!
CIMB ANALYST has made a stand before the special dividend announced and came out the report last month that AA is only worth 1.56. So now after ex 30.7.2019, how much shld it be,?
CIMB is a screwed up bank run by a bunch of loser Indian expats and they are waiting for a merger with a better bank for their survival. Their analysis does not work for their own bank how then they evaluate AA business is a question mark?
The bank was run by Nazir Razak and Tun asked him to leave. Tony was initially close to those Nazir and Najib until last election. Now no more friend so start writing all kind of filth about AA.
Being a major shareholder and the face of airasia, he cannot cash out when the share is trading at above rm3. Then retail investors will lose confidence.
So how else to get money while keeping the share price stable ? Pay dividend, lots of it
The Private placement was valued at rm1.01billion
They both collectively have 1,079,085,082 shares in AAGB. With the recent dividends..
They would have pocketed RM1,532,300,816.44 ( 0.40 +0.12 +0.90)
AA share price shld be slowly inching up....becos still have lots of sceptics around. What it takes is just one of the foreign broker to start buying in....them all hells will break loose...until then AA share price will just stay range bound 2.75-3.10
Good thing that UBS, HSBC have just recently upgraded pur market. Judging from past few days all big cap stocks share price moving double digit, its very likely they are putting action where their mouths are. Hopefully, AA is one of the stock they have chosen to be in their portfolio. Once foreign fund come in, it will be very dificult to chase the price cos everythg will be pricey and can only watch.
I guess both TF and kam have faith in the company thus taking financing to take out the private placements. And now they reap the benefits and enjoy their rewards. All businessman will do the same
Businessman will continue to invest and get their return and then reinvest into somethg bigger. I sincerely hope this is what they are doing. Keep my fingers crossed
Bear in mind that, the Money from the Special Dividends weren't generated from the operations/business. They merely sold 100 of their aircraft to generate the money to distribute dividends.
Tomorrow, when you go to pasar pagi, and start hearing Aunties and Makciks talking about how cheap airasia share is and the special dividend of RM0.90 , you may need to consider exiting.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and responsible and anwserable to their own monies. If one think its a scam or a trap or pricey, exit as fast as possible at all means. If one is favorable them do otherwise. That makes the market so interesting
No doubt TF is smart ass know how to cash out first by giving dividend himself and shareholders. He is aware that low cost airlines nowadays can’t make much money.
The survival of AA is depend how success he turn airasia into digital business like airasia.com, bigpay and cargo. Time will tell and i believe he can do it....
He knows airline is a very tough business and that's why he is seeking diversification to mitigate the risk. I like his strategy and I don't mind he gets rich, as long as he throws us some crumbs along the way.
No dividend suspect it's fake account.. Pay dividend say taukeh earn more than us.. Why don't start your own business...see can pay yourself dividend boh..
As i mentioned, TF foresee what lies ahead is very challenging and he has to make change his course before its too late. Airline business is a tough one moreover a budget airlines. Statiscally, how many airlines actually made money years after years and how many budget airlines churning up billions of revenue years after years? Airlines business is a risky business subject to fluctuation of the exchange rates, the up and down of cruel oil, and least but not last the natural disaster like volcanos eruptions and earth quake which will affect travelling of inbound and outbound
Like i mention, like everyone else, TF also foresee what lies ahead for his business model when solely rely on budget airlines to continue to churn out revenue. Thus he is slowing moving away while keeping the airline at its best shape to partly finance his other visions
Of course we all know the next two quarters results may not be so rosy or even grim...thus AA Its gearing towards assets light to mmonitised uts assets and moving cash else where. Of course along the way he also pocketed his shares. And he rightfully deserved it with the efforts and sweats he put in over the past 20 years. Its also his vision and the company’s right strategies that along the way AA MANAGED TO made money and invested into aircrafts. So its nothing wrong if he decided to cash out and move the companybto another level eventhough some may say the company is empty now. That remain to be seen
Pay div also not happy no pay div also complaint.. in that case TF better dont pay div and keep the cash in the company slowly enjoy ... company and slowly enjoy wi
Well its too early to say if the special dividend is good or bad. As for me, i will just keep my Aa and get the dividend which is more than 30% as compare to FD rate of 3.2. Of course i m not promoting AA cos personally i would think in the next 2 years airline business will be extremely tough. What i m banking on is TF’s vision on the E business. I am taking a risk by hanging to it collect the dividend and hope for more surprises in the E business. Of course many will disagree with me . With due respect their disagreement will be respected. Just my 2 cent
And of course AA Is rewarding its shareholder with bigger dividend hoping that shareholders will continue to stay with them. Of course along the way pay himself big dividends. Must not forget he get a big loan to finance his shares. Imagine if it doesnt work out, the loan will be in default. He took a calculated risks and make sire it works
agjl bro...tqvm for your enlightened analysis of AA n TF forward vision n intentions...those who r present at this forum r majority matured n serious investors ...so their own opinions to BUY OR NOT TO BUY AA SHARES ...they have in their hearts the calculations already ( literally in cantonese )....no worries there in my honest opinion...like EngPro bro said ...DUMB DUMB HOLD !!!
You will get 30% dividend only if the price go up to before ex. price. When company pay dividend, share price will adjust lower respective to dividend pay-out. Therefore, real investors only hold for dividend believing company will do well in future...
