Lanesra, then what are you doing here in forum for share investment? Why not you go and put all your money in FD? Clearly you also know that certain shares do give good dividend or returns higher than FD. As for REIT, yes....some in S'pore are giving better returns but IGBREIT and PAVREIT also giving good returns. The capital gain is making now is much more than FD. If you think Spore REIT is better, then invest there la.

Aiyo MK4872, then why are you so triggered. Go do some homework, and how currency exchange effect reits.

Just a simple tip , example if you have RM 3k and you used to buy 1000 sgreit which cost SGD 1 dollar. (lets say exchange rate is (1sgd=3RM )Then dividend per year is 8% you get 80 dollar per year. So if you wanna convert is Rm 240 right.

Then on the other hand , you bought a Malaysian reit , let say is Rm 1.50 per share. So you get 2000unit with your RM 3k. Div rate is 5%. So you get RM 150 per year right.

So which earn more?

Lanesra....milenials? thank you. I was running around when SGD 1 = MYR0.80....i do know how currency affects. I still have some SGD which i bought when SGD 1 = MYR1.80 at home.

As for your tips....its appreciated but like i say....not everyone have the $$$ and not everyone want to.
