If you have 1k shares you will get rm900 if 10k shares then rm9k simple as that. Don’t use par value or face value.

For those holding long term only worth, for short term just to get the dividend, I suggest don't buy because after Exdate you,you may not make any profit or loss.

Why share price must be adj down ex-div? The div isn't come from share price...and share price for most companies also doesn’t reflect the NTA ... so, there is no correlation... just wonder WHY?
(if price won’t be adjusted, then div is indeed very attractive)

If price is not adjusted, Do you think it is fair to those holding for long terms to support the company? And someone just to buy at last minutes to get the dividend in just few days and then sell after exdate. You buy today tomorrow exdate sell, then profit 0.90cts.everyone no need to work then, just wait for every stocks before exdate.

NTA will go down after asset disposal and $$$ being distributed as dividend. After $$$ distributed, company valuation will go down by share price adjustment. Is that clear??

from my experiences invest in AIRASIA , after ex date the share price will go up back one , just not sure when , fast or slow only

last time AIRASIA also have declare special dividend before and after adjusted ex date dividend share price , the share price will slowly slowly go up back to around 2.50 -3.00

so feel this time also will be the same as well
