over the years AA has distributed dividends and special dividends.......it’s quite substantial if you calculate it, so we lose nothing unless you just bought AA, then l can understand the frustration

Nonsence from my own pocket. I bought at 1.52 and getting dividend quartely. I don't have to dig a cent from my pocket and the price keeps rising. Tell me how many stocks can compare to air asia. Don't expect to buy today and sell on the exdate to make profit without adjusting the price.

already get dividend with yield at 41%

After Xdate....RM1.50 would be my breakeven point.....anything higher, i did not make loss....anything lower, i would have make a bit of paper loss but no big deal....i'm in for the long run.

One more thing....Q2 dividend is not yet out....it would only hit the news together with the Q2 result end of Aug.

Dividend is not free. High potential AA price will go down further after ex-date as AA already said 2nd and 3rd qtr will not be rosy as higher leasing cost and accounting. IB will use this to press AA price to lowest...

Dividends money is free for long term investors. Only bonus and rights issues are con jobs. Share price will go up or down with or without dividends. Getting dividends is the best chance for you to cash out the market if you are a long term investor.

Dividends come from profits of the company given to shareholders. Most companies use it to buy properties for shareholders to shoik sendiri, lol. Here it goes to your pocket for u to go holidays or buy car or buy your own property if you are a big shareholder
