I believe that if you can accept RM1.3 after SD, then you are prepared for long term investing with AA.
And then and only then should you be in this. All the other short term punters and goreng kakis will not make such here.

Why I say RM1.3.....because AA is in a very volatile business (airline) and is ambitiously trying to disrupt with the AA3.0 plan which could either be very successful, or fail.
So with so many variables and uncertainties...this is not for the "weak hearted"

I already took 0.12 + 0.40 + 0.90 (coming SD).....so i have recover RM1.40 per share. Lets say i buy at RM3 last time....that means i had almost recover 50% of my investment all in less than 1 year. So if the share price drop, so long as its above RM1.50....i still not losing money. I will hold on and ride the wave with AA. I doubt it will drop that low.

So my bottom line to cut loss is between RM1.50 - RM1.60....breakeven point. From historical data, AA had never fail to deliver dividend every year. I had been lucky to enjoy 2 SD...1 in Dec 2018 and 1 coming Aug 2019. Apa mahu takut? Scare the company will bungkus?

If buy at 2.98 hold until ex date 29/7 we may get 90cent dividend but share price maybe will drop to below rm2.00!!

Sharmila, i dont know what is your purchase price but if you had bought it at 2.30.....if share price by end of the month is 3....you had gain 0.70....SD is 0.9 but can only receive end of Aug....is it worth to get 0.70 end of July and not wait another 1 month to get additional 0.2? Thats your decision to make. Of course you must also consider that after X Date, the price will drop but how much is the drop is not known.
