Pahamin reportedly said if their proposal to turn the ailing airline around received the go-ahead from the government, there would be no job cuts, intact national branding and no loans or guarantees from the government.

The proposal was offered through their vehicle, Najah Air Sdn Bhd.

This is a proposal worth considering since it comes from people who have run a low-cost airline successfully.

Pandu1, the sucess of AA was not due to Pahamin alone....there were many factor. TF and Kamarudin contribution cannot be ignored. The entire pioneer team effort over the past 15 years or so in AA may not be duplicated in MAS due to the "tidak apa" attitude of MAS staff. AA have the do or die attitude and their team is always focus on bottom line. Cant say the same about MAS.

Also, you cannot run a national carrier the same way you run a budget airline co. If Pahamin think her can turn MAS around, good luck to him but i wont bet anything on it until maybe 10 years later.

Save MAS cos there are too many cronies inside....cant let it bungkus...the domino effect is too deep into the food chain. IMO, its not worth saving cos its already chronic, too many leakages every where....purchase expensive never mind cos they can use the excuse "i dont know what is the market price" not even for an egg, a glass or a rim of A4 paper. Being stupid, brainless and useless is fundamental for survival in MAS.

AA was build on a different platform, a different work culture and attitude. Mentality of staff are different as such. At this point in time, AA dont need saving, its strong, future is bright, the staff and management are adaptive and cost effective. Always watching the bottom line, sales team monitor seat available on each flight by the minute and adjust their pricing accordingly to give the highest benefit to the company. That's why you can see AA ticket price change everyday.

try PMHLDG .MUIIND will privatise PMHLDG if it manages to sell Corus Hotel Hyde Park in London .A news report in the UK valued the hotel at about £200mil (RM1.07bil).
no point of keeping PMHLDG listed since PMHLDG is a small company.
