If AA goes bust, Malaysia Airports will lose their biggest customer and much of their revenue. Not to mention the losses in revenue stream to the Malaysian government.

i am amazed by the fact that AA still has a market cap of RM3B.... the real value is RM0. TF sucked it dry from 2016 to 2019. For those clueless, go read up how he milked it dry.

Talk is cheap. So many talking about starting an airline from scrarch. Do we know how long it takes for an airline to breakeven? How much capital is required. This situation is beyond anyones control. It is not mis management like a Malaysian Airline or Air India. Every single airline across the world is grounded. Some are lucky to have government backing, others arent. Personally, I think AA will come out stronger from this. Yes it will be tough and take time. But, no ways someone can just come in and start off. Travel will be back and back big by next year. People are desperate to get out

Tony Fernandes is lucky that he got AA during the start the boom of global travel. Since than he did a lot bad mistakes - overly expanded into silly routes (i.e. high demand but at the same time cut-throat competition), adding all the non-core businesses, regularly paying dividends which is unusual for high capex industries, concentrate too much on marketing effort than understanding consumers needs. Is very hard to invest in a business that you cannot control its revenue and costs like Air Asia. His golden time is all over and not because of Covid but Covid is just the last nail in the coffin
