You can read the above blog and the comments by many kind heart people prays and wishes for my mum recovery and my journey back to Malaysia to be with my mum.
I cannot imagine there are people like CYC so heartless and lack of human decency.
Capital refers to all of the long-term assets of the business that have value while the business is operating and in the sale of a business. Ironically, Airasia doesn't have much while naming itself Capital A.
If there is no context available, I will misunderstand AuntyP's meaning. I thought she talked bad about your mom haha. Wish your mum recover soon too, SSLee.
Necessity is indeed a mother of invention. Airasia becoming CapitalA will probably allow it to branch out from being a single product company to have its reach in many sectors. We should probably applaud AA for its innovation. Think of Gojek in Indonesia, the first decacorn company there with valuation of USD 10 billion (how many companies in Malaysia have done such moves?). Gojek makes money from transportation to e-money. It makes money from low-working class to the rich. While Gojek benefits from a 270m population market in Indonesia, it does mean that CapitalA is now freer to explore different ways to generate more revenue.
KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Aviation Ltd (AAAL), the holding company for the AirAsia airline group, will announce key organisational changes as it continues to embark on rapid transformation.
AirAsia said it would also announce the establishment of an independent board of directors, including new non-executive chairman.
The low-cost carrier said the announcement would be made by Capital A Bhd chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes tomorrow (Friday).
The move would provide robust corporate governance for the future supporting strategic growth of the airline business, it added.
Capital A, formerly known as AirAsia Group Bhd, recently changed its name after obtaining approval from the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
The company also recently completed its renounceable rights issue to existing shareholders, raising RM974.5 million to provide support to its overall fundraising strategy.
The rights issue entailed the issuance of seven-year redeemable convertible unsecured Islamic debt securities (RCUIDS) with a nominal value of 75 sen each, plus free detachable warrants, on the basis of two RCUIDS with one warrant for every six AirAsia shares held.
SEBERANG PERAI, Feb 10 — The Cabinet or the Special Committee to Address Covid-19 will discuss the proposed reopening of Malaysia’s borders before a decision is reached, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
He said the issue of the full reopening of the country’s borders will require input from numerous ministries before a final decision can be made.
“We need to discuss this in Cabinet as it involves other ministries, such as Health and Finance, not only my ministry,” he told reporters today after attending a Leonardo AW139 helicopter introduction programme at the Butterworth Air Base here.
He added that the proposal is welcomed and would be discussed at the Covid-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting soon.
“This decision cannot be made at the Covid-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting or even the NRC level as it has to be brought to Cabinet or the Special Committee to Address Covid-19 that is chaired by the prime minister,” he said.
It was reported on Tuesday that the NRC proposed for the full reopening of the country’s borders as early as March 1 without mandatory quarantine.
Muhyiddin reportedly said travellers will only need to undergo a Covid-19 test before their departure and upon arrival in Malaysia, as recommended by the Health Ministry.
His announcement has given rise to claims by several lawmakers that there was no agreement and communication between the NRC and the Covid-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting on the full reopening of the country’s borders.
When asked about this, Hishammuddin brushed off these claims as false, while stressing that it is normal for certain lawmakers to pit one group against another.
“It is not true to say there was no communication between the NRC and the Covid-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting as members of both are the same people,” he said.
He stressed that both the NRC and Covid-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting do not have any mandate to make a final decision on the matter.
I see it as politics. Don't forget senior defense minister also in MPN, so if he really against it, why didn't he oppose in MPN? What he's trying to do is give a picture that BN is in power instead of PN
